What really stands out to me is how strong and important a role his mother played in his (and his brothers' lives). Even from the grave, Dak is still respecting her authority and expectations that she drove into him from a baby. Instead of making him a "momma's boy," she taught him how to be a man, so that, when she left this earth, he didn't fold like a cheap chair under all the pressure he was under.
Instead, he took the legacy she left and made it his own. He is still standing on her shoulders now through what most likely is a time of great temptation to take all the credit and accolades and attention that the world gives and start to believe he's invincible and deserves to be treated like a star. Contrast that with some other players on our team and it shows how truly special of a person both he and his mom are/were.
Thank you, Dak's mom, for raising him up this way. Like Mullen said in the video, you can't coach a kid to lead 250 other men like Dak did at their camp. Dak's mom did that and we're lucky to have him representing us for the next 10-15 years.
