If Prescott planned on "holding out", which he can't, not being under any contract because unless it is signed by both parties, it is not a contract, does anyone here think he'd tell Werder? What would he possibly accomplish doing that?
Now, who would have something to gain by feeding Werder, as he has on occasion, more stuff to make Prescott look bad, like wanting 40M a year? Totally fabricated by the Joneses to make him look greedy.
Only an idiot would think Prescott would not show for 31.4M and the endorsement and if he doesn't show, those go on hold. Most of the Cowboys fanbase is going to be pissed at Prescott not management. Record unemployment and guy not showing up for what amounts to 15 lifetime earnings of the average working man for one year of playing football is beyond ridiculous.
Werder planted that to put more pressure on Prescott but that will work about as well as that planted article about Dez in a parking lot video.
I wonder if the Joneses realize that they might be dealing with a player that only digs in deeper when they play these transparent games? And the warning might be go too far and a trade is all that will work.
