Dak never fails to say all the right things but it seems to me he puts too much faith in his agent to serve his best interests. He's a very good QB but I doubt he's quite as "elite" as his agent leads him to believe (jmho.) Of course, we'll soon see what MM and his crew might do to help him improve. I suspect the Dallas FO agrees with my assessment -- of course, there's no doubt but what it's an ongoing issue. Good to see Dak's remaining positive, though.

I'm sure Dak contract once is it signed will see restructure take place through out the contract just as other players have done to help free up money. Good chance that we will see Lawrence contract go through restructure as well to free up money.

You will have to make up your own mind on how you feel. I will say I saw nothing in the interview that was wrong. He is trying to get a contract just like every other player in the league. People are jumping ahead to what if, what if he signs before the FA deadline? He has not trashed the Cowboys and has made no threats of what he is going to do.

Him prolonging this is not exactly showing he wants what's best for the team either. He's putting the team in a position that if a quality QB is withing striking condition in round one you do it.

I just don’t understand how PHI can sign Wentz to a $32M/year deal with virtually no problem, delay or fanfare. And we cannot get a similar deal done for Dak.

Wilson did what was best for him, it is the business side of the game. I don't like the business end of this game but it is the reality but I don't see where Dak is conducting himself poorly. I did not begrudge a dime paid out to Romo and just like all other high paid players they will get their contract restructured to help free up cap space. Dak never once complained about money as one of the lowest paid starting QB in the league.

Some weeks ago I saw Peter King on PFT discussing Dak's contract. His position was that Dallas should go ahead a pay Dak now because the cost will not get cheaper as time passes. The salary cap is going up soon and the better QB's are going to get more money anyway. By signing Dak to a comparable contract with todays QB prices, it will save the Cowboys cap space in the long run.

I really like that argument, it makes perfect sense in my opinion.
