Whoever thought a hamstring injury was a one week injury ? This is a non story . Hype .
I will say this if Rush somehow piles up wins leave him in let Dakota sit study back up .

With the defense I can’t even imagine wins piling up , you have to force teams to punt not think 4th and 4 is really 3rd down

This has zero impact on wins and loses. Just an out for the dumb QB and idiot GM. I can hear it now. We just had so many injuries. Dak contributes none to team wins. and Jerry is the reason for the last 30 years. I hope Dak never starts another game with the star on his helmet. I literally want to puke every time I see Dak and Jerry’s face.

Yeah last thing this team needs is anyone from Colorado st to the head coach down. The are literally the Dallas Cowboys of college.
I was thinking more along the lines of the Cowboys need stud line players moreso than a WR at this point.

If Lance plays they won't even get a 7th round pick for him
He's a free agent next year anyway, so unless we trade him in the next 24 hours we aren't getting anything (unless its a comp - which ain't happening).

Better off letting him ride the pine and signing him for cheap (if the team wants to that is).

Play Lance
Not a chance. This exposes Jerry as an even worse GM. McCarthy is trying to not be the scapegoat. Rush isn't a drop-off from what Dak has provided THIS season so far. Lance would fail and not get any draft pick back in return.

Oh I have no problem with the position. At some point the Cowboys need to learn how to draft outside the first round. I’d take position truthfully but I hope they don’t add another offensive lineman…

I know. That’s my point. Right now to re-sign him is what? A few million? Play him and he plays well? A tad more expensive.
He needs lots of REPS, that's the point!! you're not learning anything abut him standing on the sidelines for two plus years who had limited reps in SF because of injury prior to Dallas trading for him, who cares about salary, you're paying him 5.5mil now to do what, stand on the sidelines as an emergency QB....Rush isn't the future, you have to find out what Lance is since you used a fourth round selection on him....

The long term ramifications are staggering with this injury . The little extra he scrambled and ran yesterday and pulled a hammy means going forward you probably can’t expect any mobility in him or game planned moving pockets etc . A very expensive statuary type Qb prone to sacks .

Don’t wish injury on anyone and hope he recovers quickly but this won’t affect the outcome of this season at all sorry to say.

Agreed. The whole situation is stupid. Trade for him, then do absolutely nothing with him for 2 years. Not even as a backup. I mean I get he looked bad in the preseason, but you gotta do something other than wasting a 4th round pick and 10+ million. But Jerry gotta Jerry I guess.

I don’t think you get what I’m saying.

I’m saying if he costs 5.5 million or more next year they won’t be bringing him back.

You’re trying to make sense of what this is franchise is doing. You’re telling me what they should do. I’m telling you what they will do. What they should do is play Lance. They should’ve played him last year and didn’t. He should’ve been the backup this year and wasn’t. It’s clear to me they don’t want to play him until they get a deal done.
