Even if Rush were to play well next week and the Cowboys lose, they should play Lance for the remaining games Dak is out. This would be an opportunity to continue to develop him and if he were to play well it would give him some trade value during the offseason.

I don't think that's the plan right now. They signed Dak to 4 years and it doesnt' start until next season. They look at it as they have 4 years for him to get reps.
