News: Dak Prescott has hit his ceiling as a quarterback

Drew Brees played 5 years in San Diego before being moved to New Orleans to team up with Sean Peyton. Dak's numbers surpass all 5 of those years Drew Brees had in San Diego.

You think Drew Brees ceiling was San Diego, cause many of your millennials want everything to happen right now. And take a look after 5 years in the league, Drew Brees changes scenery & coordinators, and wallah, had a HOF CAREER afterwards.

Now I don't know if Dak will follow the same path, but you've got to give the guy great coaching first to see.

Dak Prescott has hit his ceiling as a quarterback

...The numbers indicate Prescott is having a slightly better season in Year Three than in 2017, with a higher passer rating (93.2), completion percentage (65.2) and only five interceptions through 11 games. Still, anyone who watched Prescott play against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving saw the young quarterback’s shortcomings.

The 25-year old still struggles with accuracy, overthrowing his receivers at times and sending passes into the turf on others. Prescott’s vision as a passer must also be questioned as he’s often very slow in making his reads, requiring extra time in the pocket his patchwork offensive line is often unable to give him.

One of the best examples of Prescott’s lack of development from Thursday’s win over Washington was late in the second quarter. Dallas had the ball on the Commanders four-yard line with 1:42 left in the first half, and the score tied at seven...

...Prescott and this coaching staff in Dallas have had three years to improve his fundamentals, his footwork, his accuracy and his vision as a passer. And, for the most part, all we’ve seen is a regression from his rookie season. Prescott continues to show us who he is and who he isn’t. Maybe it’s time more people started believing in the player that he is, and not the one they hope he’ll become.

He completed 70% of the passes against the Skins.

Everyone including the announcers know that the scheme is sub-par.

Like many fans and bloggers, they fail to even acknowledge the pass rush on many examples of the pass not being "accurate".

X...I always like your views, and voice it!

That site hasn’t been relevant for years. They want your Black Friday clicks.

This is merely good football by Prescott. Not his ceiling. It’s silly of them to declare it his ceiling if he’s had a season like 2016.

He’s a young QB developing. If Eli Manning can win two Super Bowls; so can prescott. Landry Hat won’t get my clicks today or ever. They’re bleacher report without a team stream app lol

Any chance that could become a site that is banned from CZ.......

X, they have in their hearts to be Cowboys fans. They actually do present, on occasion, some very good questions to discuss.

After all, no fan can ask all questions alone, and cover the whole picture...I at least attempt to have good listening skills. Even a bad question can be listened to, by me.

I know you like them and maybe know some of them.

I've tried to be open minded about blogger sites like them and they were decent at one point in time, but they've morphed into the click bait style of blogging.

If you know somebody that is good there, then that person should move to a better blogger site.

Really...why?
Other than trading for Amari Cooper during the bye week two weeks ago, what other top talent at WR has Dak had to throw the football to, especially deep? Plus, with no stud TE like most of the current top QBs have? Then throw in having to pass behind this porous Oline that is leading the league in sacks allowed, along with among the worst in QB pressure, well, how do those numbers not tell more about the lack at WR than it does Dak?

Austin runs a 4.3, but his yardage came in YAK. Also, Dallas had a pair of 4.4 receivers, before one was released.

Not even in play-action, is a 30+ toss released...no, there is more to it than just a set of failure receivers.

Usually, due to a lack of deep touch, open receivers in the 30+ range are over thrown by Dak Prescott.

Dak is much more accurate with a shorter and straight line throw, at present.

When has Austin played? He's always injured, plus he's short. He's a JAG and easily got traded for a reason.

Other than Amari Cooper now being here, what other receivers have good speed, height and run clean routes and make crisp cuts to gain separation?

Get better listening skills or just give up agenda as your core reasoning...

Scheme can open up receivers, but it can't also make the throw.

Know what you are talking about. Your Dak hatred is making you look foolish.

Take your prep attitude, insult, and get back to playing in the street...can't hang.

Up front, unlike yourself, I don't and haven't had a problem with Dak. If YOU can't discuss something, stay out of a conversation...or just shut up.

Deep throws are a weakness by him...and Dak has a pretty low percentage success rate. Do SOME of the work and provide some of your OWN stats...own up!

This simply isn't true.

Give Dak a good HC and OC and you would see a different (better) QB.

Payton or McVay to name just 2 would definitely have big impacts.
:)

Parcells did pretty good with a young Tony Romo...lol.
