Dak Prescott is elite in the final two minutes of games

4th qtr comebacks does not mean last 2 minutes, btw

You could get a "4th qtr comeback win" without having a single first down in the 2nd half if the D gets a turnover or the kicker booms a long one anytime in the 4th to take the lead...and that lead stands.

You didn't take my advice and look up the definition of game winning drives used to come up with these numbers.

Click on your link, hover your mouse above the column header GWG and read it. Do the same for FQC.

This is not the flex you think it is. You look silly leaning on this.

Fourth quarter comebacks and game-winning drives

A 4th Quarter Comeback (4QC) must involve these:

  • team must end up with a win or tie
  • team must, at some point, have an offensive scoring drive while trailing in 4th quarter or OT
  • the drive must conclude in the 4th quarter or OT. It can begin in the 3rd quarter so long as scrimmage plays that are part of the drive are run in the 4th quarter. This means you can't kick a FG on 1st play of 4th quarter to tie or take lead and have it count as 4QC.
  • the scoring play to put the tying/winning points on the board must be the result of an offensive drive

A Game-Winning Drive (GWD) must involve these:

  • team must win game
  • team must, at some point, have possession of the ball tied or down by one score (1-8 points) in 4th quarter or OT
  • the offensive scoring drive must conclude in the 4th quarter or OT. It can begin in the 3rd quarter so long as scrimmage plays that are part of the drive are run in the 4th quarter. This means you can't kick a FG on 1st play of 4th quarter to take lead and have it count as GWD.
  • the scoring play to put the winning points on the board must be the result of an offensive drive

So. You can read that. Comprehend that. And still think 19 and 26 have any significance in the context of a discussion about Dak in the do or die sitations?

They don't give out nicknames like Captain Clutch because the team kicked a field goal on the second play of the 4th quarter to take the lead and never relinquished it.

so yeah, technically true, but then what are the probabilities of that happening. you are looking at a very narrow exception and making it a rule...

and technically you can have less than 100 yards and win a game, you can have zero first downs and win a game. if your defense scores two TDs and keeps the other team from scoring.

I miss the days when we used to celebrate wins instead of stats.
I remember a time not too long ago we went through a big phase about hoe "Dak can't throw to himself".

Now...I guess since he's racking up some stats...he apparently does.

what the real problem is? seriously!..

the defense...
I was so hoping our defense would improve alot this year because I am SICK of this excuse to absolve Dak from ANY form of criticism.

I wish I could have bet the Dak Defense League...it would go like this:

"I bet you all 5 dollars our defense would stop Henry on 4th and goal to give Dak a chance to win the game late."

(Eagerly) "oh you are so on our defense will SUCK and we won't stop Henry on anything!"

"Pay up!"

The defense FINALLY gave the offense a shot in a tough game, and Dak blew it. But we still blame the defense.

This is terminal madness.

Dak's not an elite quarterback, but even a quarterback being elite doesn't guarantee Ws. Elite quarterbacks can increase your chances of getting Ws, but its not guaranteed to elite quarterbacks.

For an example.... Mahomes is arguably a GOAT quarterback. Where was all his Ws last season? Wasn't enough of them to get the Chiefs into the playoffs, was it... Exactly. Teams get Ws, not just a quarterback.
Might have been if he hadn't got hurt.

Ok, I couldn't care less about your garbage stats in the 4th quarter. You can have a game winning drive with 8 minutes left in the 4th. I'll TRY TO SAY THIS AGAIN

A comeback in the last 2 minutes where we need a TD. Do you understand? Not Dak getting us into FG range with 8 minutes left in the 4th. A 2 minute comeback where we need a TD!!!! I don't know how many times I have to say this. DAK doesn't do this.

And what happened after the offense scored I forget

The elephant in this forum is....are we really going to take the word of a guy who played Ken in a Barbie movie?
