I think almost all of these big contracts we give out will have at some point dead money. At some point the juice is not worth the squeeze.

What you're not taking into account that this time around (unlike with his last contract), Dak isn't likely to get an extension which means any Void years get paid off in the final year, in one big lump sum.
This was the real issue with the contract, that it wasn't for longer, to allow restructuring until Dak's late 30's and inflation reduces the actual hit....
....then again, on form and health it may be a god send that it was so short and feasibly ended in Post-2026 cut.

Win or lose I think you'll see the team play better. Just like before, I would expect Rush to get the ball out on time and getting more people involved. The other players will have renewed optimism. They are as tired of the limitations as the fans are.

Actually, it does make me feel better, since I'm just messing with them to piss them off and having a little fun. I especially enjoy messing around with those that have thick skin and are messing with me. All in good fun, at least on my part
