All Jerry had to do was wait it out. Even if he didnt do the obvious and move on, Dak would not have much bargainig power. So there is your answer on poetic justice.

Best thing is to get the surgery. His contract is sunk cost. Anything he can contribute down the line is gravy… draft a QB every year and start preparing for the inevitable transition now.

Start gutting the roster of aging contracts. Hire a new HC and start the rebuild in 2025.

Dak will clearly be viewed as the starter — but it would be insane to not cover their bases with young talent for the future.

Gonna be a long haul until we are back into any kind of competitive shape.

Manning has maintained that he is staying two more years at Texas so we will not get him then
he wants two full years of starting before going to the NFL so that leaves this year out

Try Lance absolutely SUCKS as a QB, he can run but he'll never be a NFL Starter. It was plain to see in pre-season.

I know this is gonna sound bad, but I hope Rush gets an injury (nothing serious), only because that's the only way these idiots will give Lance any playing time. Im no fan of Lance, I didn't even think he should've made the team this year, but this is a chance to show if he really belongs in this league. Rush is good if your starter is missing a few ganes or if you have an elite defense, but that's not the case. This is the chance to truly evaluate Lance.

I would have loved to see all the backpedaling from devotees & fans alike who claimed it was an absolute certainty that he would be the biggest FA ever. People lose all perspective that things can go south for a variety of reasons.
