Dak Prescott is poised to break several Dallas Cowboys franchise passing records in 2025

I have no idea where all that came from. There is nothing wrong the OL. If you don't feel there is a WR2 on the roster that's fine the Cowboys will likely add another. And they will add a RB1 in the next 6 months also.

So no, he won't legitimately get killed this year.
Really? Have you seen the tackles?

Nope!!! But everyone in the Hall of Fame don't have rings.... so how did they get in there if stats didn't matter??

To clear things up, I'm not in ANY WAY..... saying Dak is a HOFer.

With that said, Nick Foles, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson and a few others have been given rings.... why aren't they in the HOF?

It's all about the rings, correct?
Nick Foles might not be in the Hall of Fame but his jersey and shoes are!

I believe with enough garbage time stats this year Dak will break every Dallas QB record. My only question is, will the garbage time stats come as a result of being significantly ahead or significantly behind. I'm hoping for significantly ahead.

Roger, Troy and Drew would have had more completions, if that's what they were asked to do...and if they had more games per season. They won the way they had to win, just as they probably would do in today's league.
NFL passing yards leaders:

1970: 2,941
1971: 3,075
1972: 2,816
73: 3,219
74: 2,667
75: 3,169
76: 3,104
77: 2,803
78: 3,468
79: 4, 082
80: 4,715

Think, people. Stats are only relevant to the era in which a player played. Comparing passing stats from today to an era where the top passer was around 3,000 yds is just dumb.

Dak is around the 6th best QB we've had.

Respectfully disagree, K.

You should have included every year from 1979 till today. It shows since 1979, the average passing yards leaders were around 4,500. That means there wasn't much of a difference in passing yards from 1979 through today.

there has not been a passing leader with less than 4000 yds since 1979
and as usual with Dak Bots you leave out some very important facts:
1978 is when the looser passing rules and defensive handcuffs really started to take shape. AND 1982 and 1987 were strike shortened seasons.
The average NFL leader for the last forty years has been pushing 5000 YARDS

Don't look at the average passing yards leaders, look at the average passing yards per team for a better overall look. The league didn't experience a team average of 200+ passing yards per game on a consistent basis until 1993, as 1992 was the final year NFL teams averaged less than 200 yards passing per game.

Passing yards are highly overrated; really no informative measure of a QB. I'd much rather have my team lead the league in rushing yards. Wasn't Jalen Hurts ranked something like 20th in passing yards this past season? And he's sitting at home with a Super Bowl ring. An incredible luxury to have a team that doesn't have to throw the ball a lot.

Right, but that still doesn't mean those teams since 1979 were not capable of passing for 4,000+ yards since at least 1 or more did. Those other teams simply chose not to.

1984 was the year Marino absolutely destroyed the NFL passing records. THAT really changed the NFL.
West Coast passing offense and others came into their own after that.

Those other teams may not have had the personnel or system to do so. You can’t simply assume every team chose not to.

You and the other hater brought up Dak, when no one was even thinking or talking about Dak. Dak lives in your minds 24/7.

Dak Prescott is poised to break several Dallas Cowboys franchise passing records in 2025

Who started this thread? What was the thread about? You are bi-polar. Of course I mentioned Radio because you made the post!

The hell is wrong with you?

Records or not, Dak will end his career as another "Cowboy great" who never won anything under Jerry and Stephen Jones. He can join Martin, Tyron, Witten, Romo, Zeke, Dez and dozens of other guys whose careers were wasted.
More like, that talent was wasted for the Jason Garrett training program at QB, Dak Prescott…

Dak will forever be remembered as the biggest choker QB the Cowboys have every had. Nobody will think about any stupid regular season records.
Choker is being too nice.. he was just average, getting carried in a division that was in disarray for a long time. Hurts been to 2 SBs and Jayden Daniels in 1 year went way farther than Dak ever did and was their best player, not getting carried..

Why are you talking about Dak? lmao

Go find a post about him then talk about him! smdh lmao
