Actually, I bash him for pretty much single-handedly, giving San Francisco, the playoff win a couple of years back.
I'll say this till I'm blue. In the face, a quarterback does not have to be the reason for a win. However, he cannot contribute to a loss on a regular basis.
Like I said and will maintain that the only credible analyst are those who are able to critique and applaud. Echoing talking points isn’t an analysis.

I've seen numerous clowns on this very forum question Dak's ability to read a defense. At one point, they clearly show you that he goes through 5 progressions on ONE play.

If you watched this video and still stick to your guns, do us all a favor and go find a new sport to be a fan of.

It also seems we opened the offense up versus the Steelers, similar to week 6 or 7 last season.

Sidenote: That sideline throw to Lamb was something else. Great catch as well.

Found it crazy that Zeke as a veteran is jogging routes. Doing his best Pickens imitation I suppose.
The funny thing is those same clowns couldn’t read a defense on Madden so how are they gonna criticize anyone’s reading of a defense lol

Dak was actually pretty good this game...except for the instances he was making terribly costly mistakes.
Yeah it’s hard for me to say if he played bad or good because 3 turnovers is bad no way around it. But he also pretty much made 2 terrible throws or so against 40 passes….but that’s how the position is gauged. Mistakes in the red zone will cost you against the Lions.

I like Daniels' explanations but he tends to be sometimes QB friendly with his analysis at times.

The whole 12 men on the field that's why Dak threw that bad pass is a pretty lame attempt at an excuse.

Other than that, he was critical of Dak when he deserved it and effusive when Dak deserved it.

Dak proved he can overcome the costly errors and still lead us to victory.

I’m not sure why the critics can’t accept this.

In order to be a credible analyst you must throw some accolades when due along with the criticism.
He proved he can do it against a team with one of the worst offenses in the league.

You mean no defense, no wide receivers, rookies on the oline, terrible play calling, jock strap to tight, Gatorade was stale, wrong cleats, Zimmer sucks, MM sucks, and only Dak is the one that played the hardest? You mean all those?

It's bound to show up and I know which posters will be the first to make these claims.
That about covers everything

Outside of Dak making the worst mistake a QB can make a few times he played ok. Better be giving huge props to this defense missing multiple starters and being forced to start rookies years ahead of schedule.

Let's also be clear here. If Dak goes out and has the same performance against the Lions, we have no shot to win unless Goff decides to poop the bed himself.

Dak has to play much better to get a win. And yes, homers, other people need to play better as well.

He had no time on the grounding call. He was gonna ground it or take a sack. Yes we'd like to see the ball come out before grounding is an issue, but that would've been really fast, the rush got there pretty quick, before the play had developed.

Doesn't change the fact Dak is not good at getting rid of the ball in those situations. I just don't think that play is the best example.
It was a bungled sequence. MM needed to run it there or do a QB sneak or hand the ball to Luepke or some other high percentage short yardage play.

They tried to get cute and catch Pitt in a certain formation and it backfired.

Yes the pressure came quick— but doing a sneak or a RB dive there — even on a quick snap— would have been much, much smarter

Dak better play better in the first two no make that three quarters then his career predicts. If he doesn’t start strongand instead does his three and outs it won’t be pretty. He’s doesn’t have nearly the challenge the defense does with multiple injuries and no stars to help. I expect Goff to put up what he needs to and do so at will against a banged up defense. Can Dak keep up with Goff is the question..he will need and be expected to put 30+ on the board. Seattle put 27 on them in 3 quarters so Dak should be able to get at least that as Seattle didn’t have any turnovers that helped their offense.

Steelers only lost because Fields is worse than Dak. But every year, for 9 years now, we go through the same crap. Dak stans making posts like this all season, until post season, where all but a select few throw in the towel (AC, et al), then that diminishes over the off season, then the Dak love train starts up all over again. Dak beats a couple bad teams and suddenly he's top 5 again, and around and around we go.
Every year, without fail. It's amazing to me. It's like half this board has the shortest memory in the history of humanity. We all know how this season is going to end.
Spot On ! :hammer:

he had 13 incompletions, where 6 of those should have been easy completions.
fumble again. 8th year and he still fumbles.
two interceptions.
left a lot of yards on the field.
several plays he made the wrong read
his teammates saved him.

he doesn't belong in the league.

Yeah MM had a couple plays like that, but the pitch to Lupke was super nice. I gotta give him that one.

He proved he can do it against a team with one of the worst offenses in the league.
But he didn’t make his final drive against their offense but their defense , one of the best currently in the NFL.

It’s truly predictable some aren’t able or willing to provide any credit when due.

Right…doesn’t belong in the NFL. Lol

I didn’t know we had any Cowboys fans in Houston. Everyone I’ve ever known from there hated us. You must not be a native .

Pretty well said . No doubt Prescott deserves much of the criticism . But occasionally to be a credible analyst we must provide some accolades .
