Dak Prescott is the 4th highest paid athlete in the world

Based on salary + endorsements. He makes more than enough endorsement money but he still insisted on being the highest paid player in the NFL. Brock Purdy just agreed to a deal which pays him & million per year less than Dak. Unlike Dan he has been to the Super Bowl. he also drafted and outplayed Dan in the playoffs.

And so well deserved.
But Dak's playoffs resume sucks, however, mate.

One of the poorest ever front office mis evaluations on a player's performance ceiling and corresponding contract.(s)

So hard to support that position when ya know no matter what personnel support or coaching, his play will never yield a trophy.

A decade and counting of a QB's purgatory nightmare holding an entire team back from ever advancing in the post season.

His tenure can't end soon enough.

There is no defense that can drag a spare like Dak over the finish line.
The thing is, it wouldn't matter if the offense had the 1985 Bears defense if they continued to struggle and failed to put points on the board. The offense HAS to do their part (notice I said 'offense', not just Dak).

The defense can't be expected to consistently hold every team to 10 points or less so that the offense has a chance to succeed. But unfortunately, that's what the Dak homers want.

The problem is that the offense goes as Dak does. In the niners playoff game before Pollard got injured the offense was largely keyed off him and the moment he went down you saw the drastic change because then it required that Dak shoulder more of the responsibility of operating the offense. Saw the same thing in that GB trashing.

So spot on.
Truer words never spoken.

He "still" would have lost that last SB because he never could have picked up the yardage with his legs or risen to the occasion in the moment to throw those timely dimes in a playoff/SB game.

He couldn't have gotten them there in the first place.
Year after year.
Excuse after excuse.

Just lends weight to the old adage: Better to be lucky than good.

He aint lucky.

He got the traits you need to be successful in that environement.

Selfish, a-social, egocentric, no self respect or respect for others, very good at lying, very good PR skills and you should be able to skip any kind of moral or ethical borders.

Tua is about the only QB on that list I wouldn’t trade Dakota for .

I don't blame Dak at all. He and France played Jerry and the league like a drum. I'm pretty confident that at least 99% of posters/fans would have signed the same contract. All Jerry had to do was play his cards right.......
**$55.5M would have still made Dak the highest paid ( Burrow was the highest at $55M)
** Dak test market and give him a chance to match

That said, it's water under the bridge now, and he'll be here for at least two more years. He still has my support as long as he's playing well.

It's this FO continued mistakes.
It's Dak now.
It was Romo before that.

And cast of other players and coaches who have come and gone.

After Dak there will be a John Doe and he will fail as well as long as Jonses own this team.

Exactly.........this is far from a Dak issue. He simply took advantage of what was already here, and frankly, I don't blame him.
