Dak Prescott is the 4th highest paid athlete in the world

True, and in that regard, nothing the franchise does or does not do impacts my life. I still wake up and go to sleep, I will still kick the bucket at my allotted time.
I'm directing the comment mostly at the fans celebrating or taking pride in Dak's contract as if they get some kind of commission on it. I don't get it.

Sure, we have nothing else to celebrate, but we have to take pride in having the highest paid player in NFL history ? It's not exactly an accomplishment.

Like 2nd in MVP voting right? Such a participation trophy feel.
Did you celebrate your red ribbons at field day? Hey mom! Look, I came in second!

Kidding aside, personal awards mean nothing in a team sport. Just ask Lamar Jackson. He's actually won the award twice but can't get his team to a Super Bowl. You think Ravens fans care he got paid? In Daks case his red ribbon means even less bc he's stat a compiler. The dude get more yards when the game is out of reach than any QB that's ever worn a cowboy uniform. Garbage time is when he really elevates his play.

The thing is, it wouldn't matter if the offense had the 1985 Bears defense if they continued to struggle and failed to put points on the board. The offense HAS to do their part (notice I said 'offense', not just Dak).

The defense can't be expected to consistently hold every team to 10 points or less so that the offense has a chance to succeed. But unfortunately, that's what the Dak homers want.
The "do their part" has to happen early in the game.

I'm not sure they care all that much. The one guy admitted his joy in watching other fans fret about it. Odd way to go through life, but takes all kinds I guess.

Crazy how yall find a way to blame Dak (calling him a scammer) when Jones is the real problem here.

If Jerry offered you 132M for cleaning his toilet would you call yourself a scammer too?
That’s where my confusion comes from

Where’s Dak scamming? Jerry knew exactly what he was signing…..he signed a plumber that can do amazing work until your highest paid client ask for his toilet to be fixed and then it’s ends up shooting out doo doo when you press flush

If player A is worth 60 million most of us would like to see at least 60 million worth of results.....anything more than that is just gravy
Again, no problem......but a problem exists if immunity is granted to others on the field too.....that's the simple reality.

Which player on the Cowboys got immunity from performance or lack therof?
This is not new.
Just a few examples.......GB Playoff loss with our swiss cheese defense was granted immunity and Jordan Love chewed them up. GB punter ate popcorn and giggled with cheerleaders all game. Our QB was required to have a perfect game.
Last year....the $60 mil QB got heat and question for being injured. Fake punts at questionable times, Mazi Smith?.....Schoonmaker?.......you ok with their progression?
Diggs' play, tackling effort & podcast talk before injury (Falcon game)
Micah Parson.....Sacks in playoff games (look it up)........believe it or not.....No one is villified like Dak, not sure why this isn't understood? And with this....the rebuttal will be that I'm declared a Dak lover.

He needs to restructure and take less. He knows he doesn’t deserve that and is hurting team. Last chance this year if he sucks just bench him going forward and STOP SIGNING AVERAGE PLAYERS TO CRAZY CONTRACTS!!!!!
