Dak Prescott: I've got to play better, better than I did

I don’t understand this line of thinking.

You do realize that if our offense goes out there and puts up touchdowns from the jump, that it affects how the other team’s offense calls plays? And that it affects the morale of our defense/the crowd? You don’t think these long field goal drives and redzone turnovers are not killing the spirit of the team and affecting their performances?

How about we expect Dak to perform regardless of the rest of the quality of the team. Is that too much to ask of the highest paid player in the NFL?
Hit on some solid Prescott talking points. Well done!

Imagine actually suggesting one player play perfect regardless of the surrounding players. In a team sport.

What did the surrounding players have to do with the missed corner of the endzone throw on the first drive? What did the surrounding players have to do with the interception in the endzone? Once again we are talking about the highest paid player in the NFL.

Doesn't have to play perfect. Nobody asked him to you are making this up in your head. .
Imagine the highest paid player in nfl and adorned leader of the team making a few plays and inspiring the team to more...than 3 points .

You resorting to "oh so he has to play perfect now" reeks of desperate, illogical, insane measures.

At least he admits it and takes responsibility for it.

Not that it helps anything, but I certainly don't want to hear him blame his teammates or coaches, that does no good.
Lip service. He says he will and doesn't. How does it do any good?

I'd respect him more if he said he's tired of saying it and it's obvious he cant.

Nobody is saying Dak didn't bear some of the responsibility for the loss, at least nobody I read/heard.

But even if Dak had played much better, it would still have been a loss. I saw the stat on the screen showing Dak with 16 pressures and 2 sacks. He had people in his face all game long. And even when he didn't it was because Detroit chose not to. Essentially, they could have sacked Dak a dozen times; the line was about as porous as a sponge. Probably would have been a 35-24 or such loss. Fumbles on good drives and stupid penalties weren't Dak's fault, again the Lions were on a mission, hard to beat any team in that situation. Even the Cowboys teams of the early 90's lost games they should have won, sometimes to opponents who had no business beating Dallas. Losing to the Lions was no shame, though the score is...

While I agree that we are all tired of this same speech... it would be nice for Dak, or any QB, if the receivers could actually get open.

Seems like we're completely bracketed on every play, doesn't it?
No defense respects Dak or our run . Thus they stack the box and know Dak can only throw hitches and curls . Nothing to Fear with Dak , thus receivers are up against man and bump . Hard to get separation within 5 yards . This is obvious against every good D . Dak sucks big time and no defense fears him throwing deep

He still has to play better regardless of the rest of the team playing like crap. You are just making excuses.
