DALLAS (CBS11 SPORTS) – Dak Prescott has had a historic seasonby an NFL rookie quarterback.

Prescott’s 104.9 passer rating broke the league’s rookie record of 102.4 set by Robert Griffin III three years ago.

Prescott wrapped up an impressive regular season on Sunday in Philadelphia.

On Monday, Prescott spent part of his day in downtown Dallas taping the season finale of the Inside the Huddle show at the House of Blues.

During the show, Prescott was asked about the influence his late mother had on his life, and what her biggest critique of his rookie season might be.

“Oh, four interceptions. She didn’t do well with interceptions,” Prescott said.

I was at that taping last night. The kid is so awesome. It's impossible not to like him.

Dang, wish I had known about it, i would have met you down there. Was it at the House of Blues in downtown Dallas?

Bet that was good, the story says the show will be aired on Inside the Huddle but I cant find that show on my DVR.

I LOVE the fact Dak wont hand off or throw a ball to any defensive player in practice or around The Star

This kid is literally the best thing to happen to this franchise in recent memory. His text message to Dez after his Dad passed, his leadership, hell his maturity for his age is just incredible. We found ourselves a gem here boys and girls. And its exciting.

Yeah. My buddy called me last minute. I didn't even know about it. We should definitely meet up sometime, though.

there will be a Legends Show at Texan Station inside the Gaylord tomorrow. Ed "Too Tall" Jones is the guest. I'll probably go to that. It's free. It starts at 7pm, but you need to get there by 630pm, if possible.

I just hope he can manage the media when they turn on him. Its inevitable
This. Seemingly, Prescott is a great individual, with many admirable traits both on and off the field. However, people have a disturbing habit of turning on their fellow man and woman whom they originally praise when their favorites' luster starts to fade in their eyes.

The media can be judged somewhat less for negativity though. Some degree of their motivation is linked to profit in some form or fashion. What's some fans excuse? Hopefully, I'll be around at the end of Prescott's career so that I can bear witness. I doubt that I'll be surprised in how he's appreciated by some then--whether by the media or by others.

Oy, that's a friggin hour plus drive depending on traffic, doubt I make that one. Are they having any more events at House of Blues?
