Dak Prescott's shortcomings are impacting the club's coaching decisions, approach

I don't really understand the point of a back up QB. If your starter goes down, the goal should be to tank. What good did it do us to have Cooper come in and win some games?
Nick Foles came in as the backup and the Eagles won the SB. There is always the chance. Now, if you want to argue that the 2017 Eagles were a much better team and had a defense/ run game made for the playoffs—unlike us—-yeah, we’d have been better off tanking once Dak went down. You’re probably correct.

If you have a legit team with a chance to make a run, it makes sense. Outside of that what is the point. Just my opinion.

Could you imagine if Jerry had not signed Dak before the season? He'd have every option in the world in deciding the QB and in fact new additions to the roster.

He could have brought in a REAL HC with true experience and gravitas who would have picked his own QB and players

The results for the next 3 seasons fall squarely on the head of one Jerry Jones........we truly could have been on a completely trajectory than we are on now.....but he caved in

Even the homers here know deep down that the next 3 seasons won't be much different

And the best part is...... not only can he not run anymore, but we've stuck him with one the leagues worst LTs on his blind side and no run game. Should make for great theater! The ratings should be huge.

Maybe call it tanking, but with plausible deniability...
Could given Lance a ton of snaps, contract or not....
C.Rush gone anyway.....

But don't we have shortcomings all over the place?
According to the Dak haters, no. Jerry and Stephen have built such amazing, championship caliber rosters this team would have won several Super Bowls if they weren't held back by the quarterback.

Disclaimer: This is sarcasm in case anyone actually believes I think Jerry and Stephen have done well.

Why they don't move Tyler Smith to LT, flip Tyler Guyton to RT, and get out from under Steele's big contract baffles me. But that is another subject.

Because the Cowboys FO is among the slower groups in the league admitting mistakes and moving on from them.

The next 3 seasons..thats optimistic looking back at the 29 years of this FO...where do you see the change in 4 years?

no but again beaing a dead horse is just that wether it be the QB this inept FO has or beating on the inept FO itself..whats the diference?
The QB will eventually be gone, the FO, no, they are here to stay, there are lots of family members.

Oh, more of the yearly offseason "We're going to be a run team to protect the highest paid player ever and make him do less" narrative.

This team, FO, and coaching staff operate like losers.
I mean the eagles did it with Jalen. He’s not the highest paid but he’s up there and regardless of the qbs pay a solid running game is beneficial to the whole team.

But you knew that.

for sure but the same things will be said about both the players names will change but if its ran by the jones we will just be making threads about how (insert player name here)_________just isnt a big game winner...

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

There's no way we compete for a championship with the current qb but after that there's always a chance this FO stumbles onto a real franchise Qb

4 years is just the EARLIEST it can happen since Rayne Dakota will be here at least 3 more years
