Dak’s idiot haters from 2016-18 (when Dak had a 32-16 record):

“DURRRR TEAM RECORD IS NOT A QB STAT!!! DAK’S STATS AREN’T GAUDY ENOUGH!!“

Dak’s idiot haters since 2019:

“DURRRR DAK’S RECORD WAS 8-8, HE SUCKS!!! WHO CARES ABOUT HIS GAUDY STATS!?!?”

I am just here to say that Dak is not worth $40 million or $45 million a year. Not yet anyway and I like Dak. I think he is going to be a very good qb for us. I just want this thing to get over with but then the media and us will have nothing to talk about.

I think most of the Dak criticism is mostly based on his passing inconsistencies and prolific passing flaws not his QB game savvy instincts and play making skills which have carried him.

Dak is obviously a pretty good QB and has had some success but he’s not the purest passer in the league.

And until the team has more success there’s going to be criticism until we reach our goals much like we had with Romo.

Perfect examples of why I said Jason Garrett should have been fired sooner rather than later in order to get a better idea of Dak's true value. So many instances where personnel and coaching decisions impacted Dak's win/loss record and changed the complexion of games.

As mentioned in those tweets, decisions such as hanging on to Maher too long robbed this team of opportunities to win games late.

Did Dak do anything to counter the defense's poor outing?

Why the Cowboys lost
Dallas lost in a somewhat similar fashion to how they were upset by the Bills on Thanksgiving. After a long, promising opening drive that resulted in a touchdown, the Cowboys offense and defense simply fell apart.

On the defensive side of the ball, poor tackling was apparent throughout the contest as the Dallas didn't have much of an answer for running back David Montgomery, who rushed for 86 yards, or anyone else for that matter. One killer play that displayed their poor tackling came in the third quarter on Chicago's opening touchdown of the half. Receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was able to haul in a third-and-9 pass from Mitch Trubisky and take it 33 yards down the field to extend the drive. Most of those yards came after he initially broke a tackle following his catch and Dallas couldn't close in on him Trubisky himself was able to shed a number of tackles on his 23-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to completely blow the game open.
Along with the tackling issues, the Cowboys shot themselves in the foot on a number of occasions. Penalties helped Chicago extend drives that ultimately led to touchdowns. On the night, they were called for six penalties and three resulted in Bears first downs.

Kicking was also an issue for Dallas as Brett Maher missed a 42 yarder and gave Chicago great field position on what ended up being the drive that Trubisky rushed for a touchdown. Right after Dallas was able to create a turnover and go on a touchdown drive to shrink Chicago's lead to 10, Maher booted the ensuing kickoff out of bounds, which placed the ball at the Bears 40-yard line. With that great field position, it took Chicago just three plays to find the end zone and essentially ice the game.

Outside of their opening drive where they converted all four of their third-down attempts, Dallas converted just two of their eleven other third-down attempts. Not exactly a winning formula.

That is seriously what happened.

It is from those extremes but not from those more subtle critics.

Dak had his best statistical season last year which didn’t translate to more team success. Not his fault.

But we did offensively struggle in our 8 losses putting up points only averaging 15 points a game in which 3 of those losses didn’t score a TD while in our 8 wins averaged 35 points a game .

This offense and QB did struggle against the better teams overall. Isn’t that a concern for everyone?

Of course. We were speaking of the haters, or a more apt term would be extremists.

Did Dak do anything to counter the defense's poor outing? Dallas scored 17 4th quarter garbage time points and still lost by 7. Where was Dak's heroics for the 1st 3 quarters?

Chicago averaged allowing:
6.22 yards per attempts, 222 passing yards per game, and 58.6 passer rating allowed.

Dak had 6.82 yards per attempt, 334 yards, and 83.2 passer rating, with no turnovers.

Bears #'s are even better if you take out the game they had to play Dak.

Without the missed chip shot FG, the offense scores 17 points in the first 3 quarters and one second. Funny you framed your comment I'm such a way considering that we scored in the first second of the 4th quarter LMAO.

Good. I like the “ extremist” label better.

It often comes off though that anyone who offers criticism of Dak is grouped in this “ hater” group.
That is generally a Time and Place occurrence. The rabids on both side of the Dak coin get so caught up in their quite unlucid crappslinging fest that anyone who makes a comment immediately gets put on a side. I've been placed on either side at times!!!
