Dak Prescott on his hamstring rehab: I’ll be ready when it matters

Published March 1, 2025 09:13 PM

Dak Prescott’s right hamstring tore off the bone in a Week 9 game against the Falcons. He continues to rehab four months after season-ending surgery.

Prescott told Patrik Walker of the team website that he is not fully cleared yet but healing.

“I wouldn’t say I’m running full speed yet,” Prescott said Saturday, “but everything’s on the right track, and I’m excited.”

It remains to be seen whether Prescott will return in time to participate in the offseason program.

When he was injured no one touched him . The Prescott who was mobile could extend plays his first 6 yrs that player is gone . This offense needs to not only feature a strong running attack but Prescott needs to cut loose with his passes almost immediately. Brady could pull it off . This is a tall order for this player .

The Cowboys feature two number ones a third rounder and Hoffman who was a commodity as an UDFA the Cowboys were fortunate to get him . I really don’t see other then replacing Steele internally ( Richards or Thomas ) that Dallas does any heavy lifting in the OL this off-season .

He looked off all year, I think he hurt it in camp and hid it
Possibly. He did look pretty bad when he was playing. He had a good game against the Steelers. Well, one really good game winning drive. I remember watching the Giants game on TNF and the whole offense looked bad. I was thinking, “is he hurt?”. So if it came out that he was hurt I wouldn’t be surprised. He didn’t look. I’m hoping he was hurt at the start of the season because that would give me a slimmer of hope he can play better.

Then they'll call him dink and dunk

I’ll give him 3 games before it tears again
This actually is a question I have for any medical people out there or anyone who experienced this type of injury. With this injury after he completes rehab and is ready to play, is it an injury that is likely to re-occur? Anybody know?
