Dak Prescott on his hamstring rehab: I’ll be ready when it matters

Published March 1, 2025 09:13 PM

Dak Prescott’s right hamstring tore off the bone in a Week 9 game against the Falcons. He continues to rehab four months after season-ending surgery.

Prescott told Patrik Walker of the team website that he is not fully cleared yet but healing.

“I wouldn’t say I’m running full speed yet,” Prescott said Saturday, “but everything’s on the right track, and I’m excited.”

It remains to be seen whether Prescott will return in time to participate in the offseason program.
But can he do his pregame dance routine?

He will get smashed up and beaten down this season. It will be his last season in the league as a starter. His body is broken at this point.
He's definitely toast but I have a feeling Jerry is going to keep him as the starter for as long as he's paying him, consequences be damned.

Ok, so now it makes more sense. Remember the comments coming from the team that we will be looking to draft a QB? It lines up with Daks rehab. I bet the team has real concerns about if he can be a full go by camp . They are looking at contingency plans that do not necessarily involve cooper rush. I wouldn't be shocked to see us draft a young QB prospect within the first 3 rounds. We either need to draft one or get one in free agency.

Do the Joneses think he is in question for week 1? I'm thinking they are worried. Drafting a QB makes too much sense.

When will Dak's episode of Love It or List It air? I have to assume with that renovation budget Dak will love it, although if McCarthy's house is still available it could be tough decision.

When he was injured no one touched him . The Prescott who was mobile could extend plays his first 6 yrs that player is gone . This offense needs to not only feature a strong running attack but Prescott needs to cut loose with his passes almost immediately. Brady could pull it off . This is a tall order for this player .
You don't have to be touched by anyone to tear a muscle.......hmmm. Let's see how the roster formulation plays out.

"Not running at full speed yet." Lol

Last week, I got to the Port Jefferson ferry, a couple of minutes after it was scheduled to leave. One of dock crew yells out, "If you hurry, we can get you on this boat!"

As I was heading to the ticket office I thought, "So this is how I run now, huh?"

I yelled back, "Sorry, I'm 60. Hurrying is no longer an option!"

This is what that statement by Dak reminds me of.

I think that’s a storyline that possible at the end of the 2025 season. If it does unfold that way, there will be seriously talk of cutting bait IMO.

Prior to his injury, Dak was not playing well at all.
