I thought he already did this. Are we paying him a bunch of money now so if it don’t work then we won’t have to pay much down the road..

Its the opposite, we are paying him a bunch of money right now, converting base salary to bonus to spread over multiple more seasons, in order to free up cap space right now.

The downside is that this will cause higher cap hits down the road for Dak, meaning that if they ever try to move on from Dak they are royally screwed.

No he is not. And he will be fully healed next year and will be moving around better. We could be doing worse at QB. But some how I was under the impression turning money into bonus was paying his guaranteed money off faster.

Thats the really sad part about it. Dak holds all the cards for future contracts as the dead money piles up. I knew Jerry was football stupid with contracts but it just keeps getting worse.
