Dak vs Romo: Just the Facts

At least you got this one half right. lol
You hurt my feelings with your condescension, man.

And yes, I would say San Francisco has been Dak's problem so far. But they are elite, so..;;

He easily gets by both the Packers games with Romo's defense in 2007 and 2014. Dak's defense just ***** sucks.

This image sums up the QB comparison nicely, I think. Both QB's have won two wild card games. Thoughts?

No it dies not sum it up without caveats.

Give Romo those 30 lost games due to injury and Dak’s defensive backfield and only then….can you sum it up nicely.

Almost 20 years to forget about of our once proud franchise.

All there is left is making threads and talk about mediocrity and the meaninglessness they produced.

Its never the Man its the defense or other teams that have his number.

I would easily
Im in the best shape of my life
This wont happen again
Ill work on the ints
I am so exited about next season
We are almost there

Well loser always talk like that.
Winners go home and f the prom queen.

I'm just saying give me Dak against an elite QB... I think we have a chance. I don't think we have a chance with Romo. That Manning game was nice and all, but Dak has had more examples of outdueling superior QBs.

Dak's problem so far in his career has been against elite defenses. He's not able to move the ball against San Francisco, which has greatly hampered him down and prevented him (and us) for reaching greater heights.
Pics or this reply is sarcasm.

Dak gets by nobody when it matters. He folds like a tent. Go watch his college tape. He’s always been a choker under pressure. How many games has he come back in at any point in his career when being down 10 points at any point in the game? I’ll wait. You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken crap.

Give it up...go bake some cookies and spell DAK in blue on top of them. I would say to give your neighbors some, but the would just toss them in the trash can, like Zeke did Dak.

For one, Romo didnt play in the 2013 season finale against Philly for the division. He was out with the herniated disk.

Two, he won a win or go home game the week before when he actually hurt his back. If the Cowboys lost that game, they wouldve been eliminated from the playoffs.

That's one year.

And the other years? That wasn't the only year.

You know what this tells me (I only read the original post)?

Neither QB is or was the problem. It's an organizational issue because both Romo and Dak were/are good enough to win championships.

Are either generational type players? No, of course not. But they are certainly franchise quarterbacks that had plenty of elite-level seasons.

Thoughts, why are you comparing one overpaid underachieving QB, with another. What you should be saying is 'we should have moved on from both of them before their last contracts were given.
You read the stats comparison, right? Both QBs have very similar stats and have the same number of wild card wins. You do acknowledge facts, right?

Then why is one QB so revered and one so reviled?

Romo got as much money as he could soak Jerry for and no one complained. Dak did the same and omg, he’s gets destroyed for it.

A few points:

1. In case you haven’t been following the NFL the past 30 years, QBs are vastly overpaid because there are so few great ones. Neither Romo nor Dak are great QBs as evidenced by their pitiful 2 wild card wins and literally the same stats, with Dak having slightly better stats.

2. There is a huge double standard for the way Romo is revered vs Dak. There are differences of course but they have virtually the same stats and the same number of wild card wins. But when anyone brings this up, you’d think Dak shot the pope and Romo ended world hunger and that’s my point, a double standard to anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear.

You can prefer Romo over Dak and that’s fine. But don’t pretend Romo brought this organization anything that Dak hasn’t equally delivered.

Again, the focus should be on our owner and GM for insisting on making every football decision winning be damned.

Bingo. You are a very astute observer and you have won today’s contest. Spock would applaud your pure logic as do I.

:hammer:I think a lot of the Dak animosity started in 2016 when pro-Romo fans thought that he would have led the Cowboys to a Super Bowl that season (they went 13-3 with a rookie Dak) but lost their first playoff game.

What they fail to remember was, Dak Prescott played lights out in his first playoff game. Threw for 302 yards and three TD's and also rushed for a two point conversion. Dallas lost 34-31 because the defense let the Packers out of a late 3rd-and-20.

No matter the QB the Cowboys have failed to play complementary football when it matters the most. Romo and Dak were the QB's so they are always the convenient target for all playoff losses.

If Romo or Dak made mistakes, THAT is what lost the game according to fans. Nobody talks about the offensive line allowing pressure. Nobody talks about Micah Parsons not getting sacks. Nobody wants to hear about corners or safeties blowing coverages, or the linebackers missing tackles, or the d-line getting blown off the line. That's not fun because it requires cognizant thinking.

When the Cowboys win, it's a team win. When the Cowboys lose, it's Dak (or Romo, depending on the timeframe being discussed).

This is one of the best analysis I have read in years. It uses facts and logic, something the Romo defenders know nothing about.

2025...get with the program. Dak is done, enjoy this year.
huh? you need to pull your head of of Dak's arse and smell the roses my friend. you are way way way too obsessed.
there is other things in life to think about. 24x7x365 Dak Dak Dak is not healthy

lol. Welcome to the Romo apologist club. Theres always an excuse why Romo never did any better than Dak. The defense, the offensive line, bad calls, bad luck.

At least Dak shows up in shape when training camp starts.

There is just one reason Romo and Dak never got us to an nfc championship game. We have a football idiot making all the football decisions.

2011? beat Giants and we are in....nah. couldn't get it done
2009? beat Philly and we are in....we got jacked 44-6

and then 4 playoff losses....

If I were you, I would run and hide from this post
