it’s Daks time to earn that money. 40 million a year makes them look stupid to pay him that and make him use the Cliff Notes version of the playbook

That was a 40 million dollar drive in crunch time to win the game!! Worth every penny.

The Dallas Cowboys are a BETTER team with Dak Prescott as QB. The offense is way more productive and scores at a championship level. Thats not a realistic question. Thats a personal preference. The question is........is our coaching staff better with Dak or Rush. Which gameplan suits this team to win a championship. And WHY THE HECK can't they use it for BOTH QBs. Its a Jerry thing.

See the 4th quarter against the Texans and ask yourself if Rush can be that guy.

If you answer honestly, you have your answer.

the huge difference is the defense played out of this world those 5 games and was losing steam at the end against Philly. we gave up average of 16 points...the offense was averaging 20 points a game. there is no way in heck we would have won as many games as we did over the past 5, 6 weeks averaging 20 and the offense was regressing to the tune of 16 offensive points and 17 offensive points in the last two games rush played. DCs figured him out, and bunched everyone in the 15 yard space, knowing he can't go past 15 yards and defensive game plans became easier against the cowboys....

this is another one of those things that people use wins to attribute to a QB being good, except when its Dak.....

what's the offensive output...that's their job....score points....who is better in scoring points.
You act...pretend...lie....as if the offense doesn't help the defense.

Lying blsht.

For the 50 millionth time....Dak or any other QB does not win all by themselves.

I don’t care who the QB is. The fact is this is a less talented offense than we’ve seen in more than a decade.
Throughout the Romo years and the beginning of Dak’s, we had pro bowl if not HOF type receivers. We had a HOF TE talent. We had good to great RBs and a very good OL with Tyron in his prime. What we always have lacked for decades is a competent defense. Now, when healthy, we have a competent defense at worst and the makings of a great one when we complete fixing the run defense.

But this offense is clearly less talented at WR than any offense in many years other than the start of the WR by committee year before trading for Cooper. While we have great depth at TE with a youth movement, we don’t have the quality we had with Witten for many years before the last few. Our OL before injuries was a pleasant surprise, but not what we had with Tyron, Collins, Frederick, Zack, and Free or even when Collins was a young healthy right tackle and the only weak spot was Williams.

There’s a reason we all wanted the Cowboys to lean into the defense and run game. We all know the skill positions and now the OL are compromised. If our defense can play the way they have at times in the playoffs, then the Cowboys should be able to win games with 20-24 points. If they lose because the offense “only” scored 20 against a top defense that averaged giving up 15 points all year, fans will blame Dak, the OL, the play-calling, etc, but the fact is that this year’s team was built to win with defense. Pinning our hopes on an offense with Ceedee, Gallup off knee surgery, and a bunch of nobodies and a 3rd round draft pick was not a plan for scoring big in the playoffs against teams like SF, Philly, TB, etc.

Not here to bash Dak, I blame Jerry for the contract, but you've got to stop looking at just AAV. Dak is the 2nd highest cap hit in all of football the next two years, and is running out of future years to push money into quick. The sticker shock is just now kicking in.
I mean he’ll obviously be extended and it will spread out some more. I guess one day when he’s done being the QB it may bite us but you gladly deal with that to be a competitive team year in and year out.

This is the decision every FO weighs not just Jerry. Sign a top 14 QB and be able to compete annually or take your chances elsewhere. With some of our draft targets the last 8 years or so being Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook, I’m extremely confident that signing a top 10-12 QB is the better option.

Unless you’re one of those who think finding a top 5 QB is simple.

You give Jerry too much credit.

Kellen/Big Mike are calling the shots on offense not Jerry.

We do not have a SB caliber QB on the roster.

Not the point here, the point is that keeping the offense simple worked with Rush, but KM wants to use a high passing offense with Dak which doesn't work againt above average defenses. Can't make this guy play like Joe Burrow but they pay him like he does

True, but he might play better than the guy in the first 3.

Is the pay of the QB in question or is the play of the QB in question? To help......we don't have a chance to go anywhere with Cooper Rush as our QB. And Cooper did well keeping the ship afloat.

Dak is easier to guard Bc he cannot throw a deep ball to save his life. Defenses fear cooper rush. They tolerate dak.
Lord.

So explain why our offense was anemic when Rush was under center and now is one of the tops in the league?

7-1 with Dak top 5 offense vs bottom 10.. we are fine.. no ones perfect GPs can be wrecked with poor execution lots of dropped tds, passes, poor routes etc..
