Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

Wrong. He played well, but then you have to actually watch the game instead of just looking at the stats and backing out the longest play.

This is the thing these fans don't get. Looking at stats and not actually understanding how he really affected the game, how he made critical plays in critical spots.

the scheme was fine last week and Dak missed a whole bunch of open WRs. we can point to one individual play and make a sweeping assumptions on everything...there wer plays that didn't work. but there were plays to be had, ala the skip ball to Jarwin, the bad throw to Gallup, the big miss on Williams streaking down the right side.... no coach and I mean no coach is going to call a perfect game in the NFL...they make calls, and they feel how the offense works against a defense and defensive gme plan during the game...... and you can't call the same play on a situation every time...that makes you....drum roll please...predictable as everyone likes to call around here..... and if we avoid calling plays, asyou gave one example to avoid rookies in certain situations, then we get a limited play book and everyone complains about a vanilla offense and predictable play calls.... you can't have it both ways.... and if he called the 3rd and short with a QB sneak and he got stuffed, we be here complaining as we have in the past, about calling predictable plays and why not call a sweep......

btw, the breakdown clearly showed Dak had a bad game....really bad game last week
Interesting. Pretty sure Eli did two QB sneaks in the same series. That play rarely gets stuffed. The breakdown should it was both on coaching and Dak. Coaching has been issue with the Cowboys far longer than Dak's issues. And again, I do believe Dak is part of our problem and needs to improve.

The thing about averages, though, you dont get to take the good stuff out to make it seem worse. No matter how you look at it, he made that long throw, it wasn't luck, it was a designed play that worked.

Once again i dont think Stephenz fup on green is a coaching issue, that last year was a FO Personell Gm issue...As is no depth at oline this year. LUCKY the jag Looney playing above his skill!

Sorry, you are dead wrong. He was accurate last night and made some great throws. Multiple times he had pressure in his face as soon as the ball was snapped. Also had good throws that the WRs did not make plays on. Not to mention the penalties.

Lol...but he watched the game, but he didn't know what he was looking at.

I get it, but no tape out yet i can find to form a better opinion..We located better tape last game and it pointed out a better job of Linehan than I was willing to accept!!..

I think we are finally realizing what kind of QB Dak is. His baseline is 200 yards passing and 10-20 yards running. As I mentioned in my other post, how long is that sustainable? I don't think he is even in the same breath as Cam or Russell. Definitely a poor man version though. Is that contract worthy? If we have another winning season, I think we do it because we need that cohesion. With that said, I feel while he gets another contact, he will not be treated like a franchise QB and we will always try to look to upgrade by way of draft or free agency.

Lol...but he watched the game, but he didn't know what he was looking at.

DAK, threw away several balls that he was pressured on..So You dont realy have an idea of his percentage..Do you?

We call that an ugly win..I find it humorous that some fans dont have a clue about defensive pressure!

At the end of the game it's the sum total of work, not just one quarter. Many teams jump out to an early lead only to lose the game. Falcons vs pats in Superbowl. Dak got us a lead and never relinquished it.

I did watch the game.... again his throws aren't that good, he is not going to his 2nd, and 3rd options and he had plays to be made down the field. his footwork was sometimes high schoolish and at other times decent. when he set his feet and stepped into his throws, he made them...otherwise they were all over the place.....and the final stats validate what the eyes saw....
The final stat was we won and he was our best player on offense doing what ever he had to do to move the ball and win .
Must have took you all night in front of your Romo Fathead to come up with this BS to minimize Daks effort and improvement over last game.
You Romo freaks need to find a new team. You suck the life out of anything good that happens for our QB with all your negativity

He relied on what got him on the Heisman list after his junior season, his legs. However, that will not work every week and they will not play a team as bad as the Giants every week. The Giants might be lining up for a housecleaning at the end of the season and drafting a QB with that top 5 pick.

Dak was more accurate than in his 1st game so that was good to see.
Just my opinion but the defense won that game last night

Once again, You are not calculating a weakness in the oline, that and suspensions last year...Dak was having a decent year last season until injury and the gd league decided to take away competitive advantage. I think your perspective is that of another teams fan..How long is this fan without a clue going to continue?

16/25 for 160, that's a 64% completion rate and 6.4 yards par pass...which is bad onto it self......one play was for 64...which is good, but that means he was 15/24 for 96 yards.....and a paltry 4 yards per pass attempt.... that's ugly. really ugly... that means that teams don't respect the deep or medium throws and willing to gamble...yes they gave up a 64 TD pass, but that's one play....

one thing that was evident again last night, in the second half TD drive, he was setting his feet and making the throws...they were on target and had zip....then he was ugly footwork again for a lot of the other throws....
Dak ran the RPO just fine. took the lower passing totals for the higher running totals. Played a heck of a lot better than last week. Let's face it, Dak is not going to carry us by dominating with his arm from the pocket. Linehan took it back to the future and we are running a similar Offense as we did in 2016. That should help Dak keep us in some games offensively and make a play or two to win some games along the way.

I'm pretty sure at this point that Dak is not the QB of the future. His style of play is something that generally just isn't sustainable in hte NFL. That doesn't mean that Dak can't be effective for as long as his body holds out.

Fine with me..Alot of games they gave away over the last several years..I agree They have issues.. And they are working through them..And Cam..Lolol Only reason he won that game was because of our defense not spying him..You really are loose here!!

This isn't hard.

Week 1 Dak was easily outperformed by Cam and we lost.
Criticism was warranted though play-calling did him zero favors.

Week 2 Dak easily outperformed 20M Eli Manning and we won.
Criticism is goofy for week 2.
Dak hit two players in stride in the hands 30 yards down the field.
He had 3-4 passes dropped.
He had a couple passes nullified by penalty.
He also out-rushed Saquon Barkley.

Stop Box Score scouting. It's terrible.

IDN about that..If you logic any you should be able to compare the difference..

2016
HEALTHY OLINE AND TWO VETS AT GUARD AND TACKLE..

TONY IN DAKS EAR..

2017 NEW RT, NEW GD..
NO ZEKE FOR SIX GAMES..

I THINK You may need some therapy..Your data is weak, as is your arguments!

What the heck are you talking about. Who said or about percentages, you have look at how he affected the game.
