I've noticed Romo has gotten a lot better since he retired. Fans spent years saying a lot of the same things about him as they're saying about Dak.

While I understand the OP...

I can guarantee you Dak won't end up as a commentator who provides indepth QB analysis to the point of predicting the exact play quite often.

For some reason, as evidenced by his onfield inability to read defenses, I just can't see Dak providing that type of insightful perspective as Romo does once Dak retires.

So Dak probably won't end up like Romo in that regard, lol

The Cowboys have had only two QBs in their entire history put them over the top. No QB will save us if the defense continues to falter. We had a 2 TD lead and couldn’t hang on. McCarthy didn’t even trust the defense enough to kick a FG in OT, deciding to go for it on fourth and three. He knew we couldn’t stop the Packers..

Dak has a good defense, special teams, and 2 good running backs with decent receivers. Better coach to be honest.

Good defense? Did you watch the game? They sucked ballz today. Injured Aaron Jones ran all over them and a struggling WR scored 3TDs.
When you have a 2TD lead going into the 4th quarter, you should win with a "good" defense.

Yep and in other late breaking news, water is wet.

Many of us have been saying that for years. And why it was stupid to give Dak a second contract because we knew what we had in Dak and it wasn't enough.

Right now we should be playing a QB that's on his rookie contract. He may or may not be better then Dak but at least the team would be trying to find a better QB. And if he isnt the answer we could dump him cheaply and try another QB on a rookie contract. But sticking with what we have ends every year with the same results

Romo had about 4 teams that could of made deep playoff runs.. the rest were overrated one sided teams that needed him to elevate the entire team in which he would fail miserably because just like current Dak, Romo was extremely inconsistent and had major confidence issues..

so if Dak is anything like Romo he will need his best teams at the tail end of his career when he’s finally consistent but by then the team around him might suck or he’ll be injury prone.
