Zeke- already got his money, so he might now care, but next time when looking for a new contract he should remember.

Dak- needs to understand there are more important things than being the highest paid, especially if winning means something to you, and especially if you are not great enough to carry this team and overcome the fact your team can't pay for weapons because you handicapped them.

And Jerry need to remember and think about this quote when thinking of paying Dak. He can't do it even with weapons he has now. Imagine if you can't get anyone after Cooper leaves because he's so damn greedy. Don't pay him Jerry, give him 20 mill or tell him to walk

"The champions are the people that get remembered," Bennett said when asked about his message to his teammates, via the Dallas Morning News. "They don't remember who got the biggest contract. A whole bunch of great players got great contracts, but they don't get remembered as champions. Champions are the ones who get the gold plates and the jackets and they understand what it takes to win. That's just a certain mindset. That's just a certain ability to play tough in adverse moments."

Bennett is fresh from an organization that knows how to win. The Cowboys' staff and their underlings simply aren't proficient in that expertise. Poor Jerry foolishly thinks he should be able to buy talent that qualifies as those who he might extract championships from. He's so wrong.

It requires a recognition of talent, character, intelligence and other things that encompass success. A capable GM would be able to recognize such things. He simply doesn't qualify in that regard. May he come to realize that and act upon that knowledge before he passes on. Otherwise, his current frustration will surely continue until he's gone.

The Cowboys organization is much like a mom and pop general store trying to compete with the likes of Walmart. They've committed themselves to a task that they're sorely incapable of continuing in the longtime success of the Landry regime. It's a shame their abilities fail to match their dreams.

….there is no pedigree of winning anything on the field either.....outside the 13-3 season.....and the "leader" (JWitt) ain't won anything.

JWitt is but one member of the whole that will soon be replaced. The Joneses are the main long term hindrances of team success. ;)

Bennett is probably the only player on the team to play in multiple Super Bowls and win one. Thus, the only one who can talk.

The current team seem more interested in getting paid the most they can and posting on social media.

Playing football on Sundays seems like a job that they prefer to get over with.

Who cares? Even if we fire Dak and Zeke, the apathetic attitudes of this team will weigh us down.

“Who cares about winning when you can be mocked, embarrassed, and lose every week?”

It's a curious thing to imagine what might happen to a team like the Cowboys. On one hand, they've seen enough success in the distant past to want more. On another hand, they're immersed in a system that hasn't provided success in a longer number of years than they'd want to admit to.

Jerry and those in power with the 'Boys are likely to welcome a HC who might either lead them into added success or continue with more of the same. God forbid that such a travesty should occur. As fans, we have endured nine years plus of less than adequate coaching.

The choices that will be available should prove interesting, although, the C'boys' FO must enable him to be his own man. Let's hope they'll see fit to do so. That would surely be a first, however. Good luck with that -- and I mean that, sincerely.

It's weird they went out and got Bennett. The man has no business being here. It's completely different from New England.

The cowboys are out of bennetts league.

Bennett doesnt eve match with this soft *** team.

I believe he'd rather retire than to play another season in Dallas, even if he could.
