Dak is not a top 5 QB yet, but he is a franchise QB, no doubt at all. Franchise QBs are guys you can win long term with....they don’t need to be among the top 3. All 32 teams need a franchise QB because you can’t win playing bums year after year. He says his shoulder wasn’t bothering him, and I believe him, but a young guy who just improved his accuracy this year can’t miss the entire week of throwing and working on mechanics and not expect some negative issues in the game. Romo never won anything in his career; he was also a huge part of the past many years that no team won the division in consecutive years, but he was a franchise QB who made you believe you could win it all if things ever fell into place....they just never did. I feel the same way about Dak.

Zeke is still an elite RB, one of the top 3 in the NFL, no question. There’s also no question that he’s not worth the contract; no RB is worth that contract, but that’s Jerry’s fault, not Zeke’s.

Say what you want about Garrett...he’s a goner for sure, but the defensive staff won’t be any better just because of another head coach....they’ve gotta go. Special teams coach...gone. I’m up in the air over Moore because he may have potential, but his playcalling really hurt us this year.

How? I believe Linehan would have been better for this particular team. Moore trusted only his X’s and O’s And play design. He needs Linehan’s experience to know that the #1 option on every play, and especially on 3rd down or in the red zone, has to be either Zeke or Cooper. I don’t care what position Cooper plays as a WR, you don’t waste him as a decoy or to carry guys across the field so you can throw to a RB or slow TE or lesser WR underneath. The pass progression should always be Cooper first, then other options. Trusting 3rd or fourth down to your genius design instead of making that design fit your stars is hubris.

I was sick of Linehan like everyone else, but you have to admit that he ran his offense through guys like Murray and Dez, Zeke and Cooper. You need other options and guys to make plays, but the majority of your offense should be designed to allow your stars to make plays....period. Last night was on everyone, but it showcased Moore’s faults. You don’t win games with X’s and O’s Unless Zeke and Cooper are the X and O most of the time.

Time to clean house, a complete overhaul....I hate to dump a year of learning on the job with Moore, but not doing so is the same mistake Jerry made with Garrett and this staff. Don’t keep anyone unless the new head coach wants him, but if he wants anyone besides The WR coach, RB coach, and OC, you are probably hiring the wrong guy.
