I like this kid. He seems like a humble hard working guy. I really liked how he said that this is Romo's team and he's holding the fort down until he gets back. Then when they asked him about all the other times he took over for an injured QB and didn't give the job back he kind of smiled but didn't answer the question. Probably something I'm making a big deal of that probably doesn't matter is he sounds and looks like a veteran. He handles interviews the same way he plays, just in a confident, calm manner. He talked more about how great his team mates are and how he'll lean on them at the same time saying he's ready and working hard. He strikes me as someone who people would enjoy being around.

Humble, with some swagger sprinkled on top!

"Holding the fort down" might be the PC thing to say, but I hope he is not really thinking that. I want him to believe that this is his team and Tony Romo will never start a game again for the Cowboys.

You should just turn the volume down and believe whatever you want.

lol. Dak boy...may be in for a few surprises real soon. Confidense is a good thing...but this will not be so easy for him. I am dying to hear what he has to say in about 16 weeks. Be sure, it will not be the nonsense he is jibbering now....he has a lot of growing up to do. The NFL is a hard taskmaster.Good luck Dak.

This is off topic, but that Dez interview at dc.com leaves one with the definite impression that there never was any concussion.

I get what your saying but I also want him to show the same respect to Romo that he showed to Witten, Dez and the other pro bowlers. Bottom line is if he is the real deal he still is a rookie and will have some growing pains. The best case scenario is he plays good enough to win while Romo is out and also shows us he's the future QB. But any chance of playoffs or super bowl is going through Romo.

But as far as what he believes in his mind I want him to attack every practice and every game that it's his last. But when romo is healthy I don't want a situation were he is upset that he is the back up.
