Dak's message to both the Offense and Defense: "Shut up, and Step up!"

Again, these kinds of habits should be handled in the off-season. Camp. Not after the wheels come off the wagon. We are what we are.

And you are assuming that I hate Dak. I don’t. I think he is a good qb but talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. He is the leader of the team but his play on Sunday was not his best. Even he said it

And he also said about himself as well, shut up and step up. You neglect to acknowledge that.
 
I’m no defender of Dak, he’s a choke artist in the playoffs etc etc etc

But it’s wild to assume this guy is gonna be perfect every week during the season; no QB is.

Couple weeks ago Allen played awful against NE but they still pulled it out bc the defense stepped up.

Dak will never have that and that’s unfortunate.

To be fair, most of the people who criticize Dak for his incessant platitudes usually say "just quit talking and go play". They're not clamoring for different platitudes (and make no mistake, shut up and step up is another platitude)

If our entire organization (including and especially Jerry) would just quit talking about what they "need to do" and just get to work on doing it, my guess is fans would respond positively to that

Just because you are always happy with mediocracy doesn't mean everyone has to be.

The owner provides the coaching staff as well.

If I was advising Dak I would remind him that his job is not to the fans or the media. It's to his teammates and the organization.

He is not obligated to say anything of substance in public. Good leadership has important things to say, but in the microscope of the NFL I would argue that good leadership keeps everything behind the locker room curtain.

This makes it a safe place for players to say things and vent things without the extra noise outside the locker room.

Jerry's role is the provide the accountability in the system. Not be the mouthpiece.

After they turned it over we got to the 1 and went backwards. We punted 5 times. We were 4/11 on 3rd down. Dak was 19/31 for 188 yards, no TD, 2 Int, 51.5 passer rating. Take away the scrambles and we ran 25 times for 79 yards, 3.2 YPC. Did the defense suck, absolutely. That offense isn't going to win too many games though either. And it happens most times when we face a good defense. Having a bad defense just puts up a smoke screen for the offense.

People get mad when many of us just roll our eyes and laugh when he hear this "Top 5, MVP" crap.
