Colin Cowherd: Has Tony Romo ever helped at all? Has he ever stepped up and say, 'Watch this' or does he let you lead? And is he kind of stepping back to kind of let you figure it out?
Dak Prescott: A little bit of both. I think he's kind of stepped back a little bit and just let me go, but he definitely helps. On the sideline he's always giving me positive feedback, telling me to watch this on this play, they like to do this on certain play calls that we'll draw up on the sideline. He'll tell me to make sure I'm looking for this or that. He's another coach on the sideline. It's very fortunate.
Helps him (with Linehan) after hours all the time in the film room too.I think this is very important, I know there were some questions on here about Romo helping Dak or not. I also found the comment interesting that Romo has stepped back. It seems he has taken a different approach to this. Maybe Romo sees the writing on the wall, I don't know. I feel for Romo and everything he has given this franchise and it's fans. He has literally single handedly made this franchise relevant. I feel at some point when Romo walks away from this game he will be back in some capacity as a coach.
I will always be a huge Romo fan, and I don't think his story is over yet, but if it is we are in good hands moving forward. This kid has heart and the right attitude and work ethic, and that is all you can ask for in a young player. Keep doing what you do Dak no matter cowboyszone is behind you and Romo regardless of what happens. We are very fortunate that we have a young Franchise QB and a Vet Pro-bowl Franchise QB.
Yes, his voice makes it even more punchable.Cowherd has a very punchable face.
