Dak has a QB Rating of 79.03 in the last three games he has played that is worse than the season results for the 27th ranked Carson Wentz.

He is completing 58.2 percent of his passes for 6.3 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile the defense has allowed a collective 51 points over the course of these 3 games for an average of 17 points per game. That's very comparable to the best in the league Seahawks who have averaged 16.8 points per game for the season.

Ezekiel Elliott has averaged 96.7 yards per game during this same period, which would be good enough for third in the league for the season (ironically just behind himself and Le'Veon Bell).

We're 2-1 during this stretch because of this defense and running game, NOT because of Dak.

Take out the outlier (NY) and it's 68.8%, 7.9 ypa, and 108.6 qbr in Wash and Minn. Let's not act like one (really) bad game is indicitive of the whole body of work.

Let's look at that Minnesota game.

Seriously, a 105 rating? How?

He completed 12 whole passes for 139 yards. They scored 10 offensive points. (Don't count the special teams fumble recovery down on the goal line.)

How does that add up to a 105 rating? Ridiculous.

Defintiely is a great exhibit for the flaws of QB ratings. it usually balances out long term, but on a game-to-game basis it can be silly

I think I mentioned in thread earlier that a QB can achieve a 100 rating by completing only 4 of 5 passes for measly 40 yards, no TDs, no ints.
A 100 rating for that garbage!

It works the other way too though. A QB could be playing great under heavy duress and only get a marginal rating.

True. A QB can throw a screen pass like the one in Pittsburgh, and it looks like he aired a ball 70 yards in stride.

Likewise, he can throw one up a hail mary at the end of the half in the end zone, and it gets picked off.

QB ratings are very misleading over just a few games.

I think it was vs the Lions on Thanksgiving (not sure) when Bradford was going for a two point conversion to either win or tie the game...last play basically.
Nobody appeared to be open and he threw the ball 10 feet over the head of everyone, and out of the endzone. Sure, no interception, so it looked better on his stats, but a truly horrible play. A QB has to at least throw into the scrum and give his team a chance. Who cares if it's picked except those looking at stats later who don't see the circumstance.

Oh well, I'm babbling.

We're both singing the statistical blues.

Stats are basically crap.

The biggest thing is that it's not about a 3 game stretch even. Dak's accuracy and mechanics have been suspect all season long.

The difference to me has seemed that when Romo threw a bad pass, the majority of the time, he was Brett Favreing it and trying to squeeze it in. Very rarely did it ever seem like his accuracy was off.

Most of Dak's bad throws are very inaccurate throws...mostly due to poor mechanics.

I'd like to see Dak return to bench and get a full offseason to work on his craft after Romo leads us through the playoffs

One telling stat: in the last 29 3rd down situations, Dak has 2 conversions. 1 was a 14 yard scramble and the other was the completion that Dez fumbled
