EDIT: fixed it for you. I hope this is the one you're wanting. I see another in the thread so I hope this is different.

Reminiscent of Emmit putting the team on his back and winning the game against the Giants with a separated shoulder. Good stuff.

The number of Cowboy fans in attendance at that game is simply amazing. I never imagined we would be so well represented in San Fran.

I love Holley going nuts while Romo just walks calmly off the field after the win like he knew that was going to happen the whole time.

That SF game didn't have near as much riding on it as that Giants game. The SF game brings back a nice memory I only wish it had taken place the 3rd week in January instead of week 2 of the regular season.

It would have meant us starting the season 0-2 if they didnt pull it out. Thats a lot riding on it in my book.

You can recover from an 0-2 start two teams including the Cowboys went on to win the SB after an 0-2 start. You can't compare the importance of a week 2 game with the importance of a season finale that had the division title and a first round bye on the line. Had the Cowboys lost to the Giants in the final week of the 93 season they would have had to play the following week and Emmitt who had just separated his shoulder probably wouldn't have been able to play.

As a matter of fact the Cowboys started off 0-2 during the 93 season because they didn't have Emmitt who was holding out. His was critical to the Cowboys success and that extra week to recover from that separated shoulder was huge. The Cowboys might not have repeated that season had they lost to the Giants and had to play the following week without Emmitt.

Yes, you can but it's not good odds to even make the playoffs.

That game does nothing for me. It didn't lead to anything.

Now Aikman to Harper. Chills. A turning of the tide. A new sheriff in town. The birth of a dynasty.

It's certainly not the best odds but playing in a weak division where 8-8 and maybe even 7-9 wins the division it's not the worst odds either.

For some reason, I thought we were talking about the NFC championship game over 20 years ago. lol
