I remember last year when we got the AFC North everyone was convinced we were going to suck. After all was said and done, we faced one of the toughest schedules last year. WE won the division with one of the top records in the NFL.

Last year we also faced OBJ x2, AJ Green, Antonio Brown, Jordy Nelson, Alshon Jeffries, and Mike Evans. That was with Carr, Claiborne, Church and a gimp Scandrick. Also note how I didn't list every halfway decent receiver on the schedule like the author here did either.

Jamison Crowder? Terrelle Pryor? Keenan Allen? OH NOES!!!

Meanwhile our offense should be better with a healthy Dez and Dak and Zeke in year 2. If he would have talked about the question at LG I might give the article more credence but that article seemed more designed to make out opponents feel better than actually represeant anything real with the team.
" oh- noes",,,:lmao2:,,I LoL'd reading that, and if you only knew of my current predicament ( big Mexican blew a tire on skid steer ,heat so hot you receive 2nd degree burns if you lean your arm against anything steel, shirt as wet as an after bath towel, running out of water, pH battery at 12%(to hot to take a charge) the dirt of the ground is too hot to place your knee,,,issue in doubt!,,,,and I STILL LOL'd:starspin:

In my younger days I did HVAC. I know how that goes.

"Let's start with a defense that lost cover men Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne, Barry Church and J.J. Wilcox in free agency"

Cover men? If you can call what Carr, Church, or Wilcox did covering, and Mo certainly wasn't covering anyone for the 9 games he was on the sidelines.

I'm on the side of so many who said we don't need to win 13 games to have a better season. The expectations are high though, so would we say at least and NFC championship game appearance is underachieving? That's my expectation for this team this year.

I want to win the n.f.c. conference!
Super bowl loss?
After watching last years game a hard fought loss wouldn't sting as bad as what Atlanta prolly still laments.

I am still trying to figure out how Rivers gets a pass as a QB. He is this generations Favre sans playoffs.

I'm not completely against this - Dak going through a sophomore slump and our D being quite questionable certainly could lead to a disappointing season.

I could see us going 9-7 - for me, it wouldn't be shocking. But looking league wide, I think fans expect to see the Cowboys dominate again and be in the Championship/Super Bowl (We still can with that record, I guess)

The only time these types of articles show someone improving as a squad is if they've purchased players in FA, which rarely actually make a positive impact (Giants of last year aside). They all go with the cliche "lost Mo, Carr, Church & JJ and replaced with unknowns" as a factor, even though it's not like we lost the legion of boom. They were an average group that we replaced with some exciting prospects. At worst I feel like our secondary will be the same but with more turnovers. Still not enough to assume the team will fall apart.

From what I've been reading Dak hasn't been letting the grass grow under his feet and resting on the laurels of his historic rookie debut,,, he's been putting in the work to improve ,,,so,,, he ain't got no time entertaining any of this regression nonsense, friend.

There aren't 10 teams that can win the SB

10 teams I'd say have a chance. I narrow it down to 10 every year. I do that because tons of people act like it's wide open every year which it's not at all. It's usually pretty perdictable. If we're talking top 5 Dallas doesn't make the cut. imo
