Dallas 5 1/2 point favorite over Skins

I hear ya Dooms. I used to be so superstitous about things back in the hay day I couldnt hardly function. Didnt want to "ruin" the run.

Last few years though I dont bother..wouldnt do any good.

Hey maybe it's all my fault then that we've had a 10 year slide. ;)

Probably very close to the final score. Believe me, we will have plenty to stress about during the game.
I for one, would like a blowout victory in our favor just for once just so I can get rid of the gametime stress and actually relax during the game.

We haven't had one of those in a long time due to our cardiac games of last year.

I'm willing to lay the blame on you. :laugh2: I will say that is the only superstition I have and it really has more to do with betting with your head and not your heart so to eliminate that I just don't bet on the Cowboys. I'll bet on many different games in a season I just don't put bet money on the Cowboys even during the glory days.

I hate those close ones as well unless we end up winning. :laugh2:

True, I do feel good once we win the close ones, but then I have trouble sleeping after the game ends since my heart rate is still elevated.

I miss the days when we could blow out an opponent and I could sit back and enjoy the rest of the game while sipping on a cold one.

I agree, it is nice heading into the 4th qrt of a game and your only concern is when are the backups going to come into the game.

One like the first game vs the eagles last year would certainly do my heart good!!!!!

We need one like the Philly game in Dallas last year....Bang! A laugher the entire time. Glenn open on every play, no pass pressure, JJ ripping one off for 40+ yards. That is what I'm talking about!

LOL at ES they have a poll on who they think will win the game and 56% picked the Cowboys. It shocked me cause they are usually so arrogant even though except for last year we have owned them.

Yeah, ES is being bombarded with posts that claim the sky is falling. It is kinda funny, but I see the same thing here. It is simply week 1 syndrome.

With that being said, I hope we beat them like rented mules next Sunday.

I'm very superstitious about the Cowboys. Any game that I miss, the Cowboys lose. So whenever I'm away (like last Christmas I was at San Fran), I just come on these chats, and listen.

My cousin wasn't very happy about that lol. He had no idea why I was so obsessed.

I also never make threads in the week of a game, because every time I've made a thread, we've lost. I also don't watch the TV shows after a loss, because I did that before the second Giants game, and ughh.

I used to feel like that.. that if I didnt watch, they'd lose. Course the Campo/Quincy era took care of that notion either way. But the thing is I must be a glutton for punishment because I havent missed one since the late 80's.. oh there was a couple I had to set to tape and then just avoid knowing out the outcome for a couple days til I got home.

I thought for sure I was gonna miss seeing last years MNF game in Philly live on tv because I was on a cruise ship that week. But it so happened that ESPN Desportes carried the game and that channel is available at sea.

The only prob was it was like the first full day at sea and I was kinda groggy from it. I dozed off a couple times during the game (didnt care *that* much cause we were playing like azz for the most part anyway) but thankfully I woke up again just in time to see Roy takin that pick to the house. heh

lol. The Eagles game was crazy. I was about to give up, but then my parents told me something along the lines of "A true Cowboys fan never gives up on his team". (And they think that I'm obsessed). So they make me stay up (I used to sleep early those days), and right then and there, TG caught the TD pass, and suddenly RW got his INT. I was very grateful towards my parents.

I'm usually very cautious when playing any team in the East, but this time I think if our defense shows up, we will scorch the Skins thoroughly.

It's clear they have a serious problem in the secondary...they can't cover and really are missing Springs. If they give enough help back there to slow down T.O., Glenn, and Witten, I believe JJ and Barber will have a big night.

Our offense is going to score at least 24, possibly 31. The trick will be if our defense shows up and shuts them down for a blowout or if they hibernate two weeks in a row and make it a shootout.

Right now, this week only, in Dallas, I don't believe the Skins defense can hang with the Cowboys offense.

Bank It
