Just wanted to throw this out there before I go to work this morning. Dallas is in really good shape at the "most valuable" positions in football: QB, left OT, pass rusher, and CB. Romo is one of the best in the game (top 5-10 without a doubt), Ware is the best pass rusher in the game, Tyron Smith is a young beast who is only scratching the surface of what he can become, Carr was the best CB in FA and is one of the better young CBs in the game, Claiborne was the best CB in the nation and one of the best CB prospects to come out in years. Few teams can boast such talent (yeah I know how that word makes us cringe) at those critical positions.

Now having said all that, the game is won and lost in the trenches. Our DL is ok/decent IMO. We could certainly use another player there but it's not bad. The OL, IMO, is another story. It has been our undoing for quite some time and I pray that we address it with our next pick. I think our D will be much better this year but our offense still has major questions on the line (not to mention 3rd WR and 2nd TE). I hope Jerry and co. do their part in these next couple of rounds to make this offense "Romo friendly" and able to score more than 4 or 5 rushing TDs.

good original post....but I am not worried about 3rd WR. The OL is another story. Think about New England. They won with 1st and 2nd WRs that could not START in Dallas. If the QB has protection.....and the QB is good....3rd WR should easily be productive. So we have to fix our OL....the OTs should be set.....we certainly have multiple canidates for the G position....so it really is about adding a quality C. And lets not forget about the addition of Bill Callahan. I like adding someone who has NOT been around Dallas forever. I like adding someone with a differing voice. The Hudson Houck years are simply a down right failure. Jerry making him the highest paid OL coach in the history of the NFL is simply a bust. He was living off reputation. And I don't want to hear he had very little to work with. He picked a complete bum for Guard in the 3rd round in 2009.

Nice post. I totally agree. I'm not too worried about 3rd WR either. Getting the best interior OL with our next pick is critical IMO.
