Dallas Calling Columbus, Ohio

I know Judkins will be there at 44 but I am fully prepared for them to pass on him and pick an injured CB

Get Guyton up to speed and with a baptism of fire and hold an intensely competitive camp at tackle. Maybe sign a veteran to come in at tackle as well.
Correct I think they're going to keep it similar to last year, but I think their plan is if they don't see improvement by Guyton early on in camp and they don't see this coming together, they should do everything they can to line up 2 pass rushers on both sides of Steele and Guyton in all camps all mini- camps, ota's, and training camp and make them show whether they're going to improve or changes need to be made..

I don't think they're short-term plan is to make Tyler Smith move back to left tackle and then let Guyton and steele battle it out for right tackle, but I think that's their backup plan... I mean there is no other reason I can think of they have so many guards and centers on this team right now other than the fact that they know they have this in their back pocket if needed..

I truly wonder how Tyler Smith feels about moving to left tackle would he be comfortable doing it would he be happy doing it I know his pocketbook would be happy LLOL He might get paid a bit more out there at left tackle and maybe that'll motivate him maybe he'll be ok with it but I'm not sure he would want to do this or if he's going to be as good at left tackle as he is at left guard but time will tell.

But please Jerry you need to go ahead and make that trade for Breece Hall , bring back amari or Keena allen, I'm tired of hearing all the smoke or go get a guy like him or make sure the rest of this draft is just nailed just calm this fan base down LOL.

Yes he might be but he's not my first choice i'm hoping either Henderson is there Johnson,

I don't even know if that's in their mind now because I thought I knew what they were thinking in the first round, and I was wrong they might know this is a deep draft so let's hope Judkins is there in the 3rd round that would be my 3rd round pick.

Some mocks are saying if the Cowboys wait to the 3rd round they're probably going to be looking at a guy like Martinez from Miami maybe Harvey will be there RJ Harvey, I mean there's going to be a guy there but we don't know what this draft war room is thinking right now because they already threw us for a loop and hit us with a car yesterday so now we got to figure out the rest of the draft...

The 21-year-old will need to hit the ground running and that is the exact expectation raised by the team's front office, noting very clearly how they "can't imagine he doesn't walk in Day 1 and start" for the team, an edict levied by executive vice president and director of player personnel Stephen Jones in the press conference following the conclusion of the first round.

Tyler Smith is 24.
Guyton is 22.
Beebe is 23.

Probably not a popular opinion, but I am OK if we waited to draft RB on Day 3. I feel reasonably comfortable with who we brought in this offseason. I know they have a bit to prove, but I think with a revamped OL, we would see some success there. That being said, I would be OK with drafting one on Day 2, but if we didn't I am fine with waiting. I would prefer a WR to a RB with one of Day 2's picks, but would like to see a defensive player as the other pick, CB, LB, DT, or Edge.

Look I don't like the move I think it was boring and safe and while I don't think it's a reach per se this guy was the 32nd player ranking on the board and they picked him at 12 seems high to me maybe they couldn't find a trade down partner
It's actually pretty simple. The Cowboys want to road grade people. They felt Booker was the best interior lineman so they took him. There was an offer from Houston but now we know it was too low.

#17 on Jeremiah's list. https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-150-prospects-in-the-2025-nfl-draft-class

And no the Cowboys won't be moving Tyler Smith to tackle. He is a guard.

Growing up in Ohio, one of the summer jobs for the DL and OL was bailing hay on local farms. They got paid, and got a work out.
Yeah my first day working for my Uncle hauling hay in HS one summer I’m wearing shorts and he just giggled. I didn’t know why he laughed until later that day when my legs were trashed! Needless to say I wore jeans the rest of the summer! Lol

I think he is the best guard in this draft. I don’t hate the pick but felt we could have fixed one of our other big needs at 12 and developed a guy a guy like bass or Hoffman to play guard. Obviously they don’t see either as an option

Same here. But I did hear the Cowboys think Booker walks in and is their 2nd best guard now.

He's not the only running back in play so let's back it off and by the way who else didn't run their 40 who had an injured foot and still went where I mean Abdul Carter not only got picked but didn't they move up and pick a dude with a hurt foot I mean this is not a Dallas cowboy thing so you guys can back it off if the guy can play and you know he can be ready for training camp you pick him that's just how it goes it's too much talent even Jalen Smith I know you guys don't like that pic but there was teams below us about to pick him whether you want to believe it or not when a guy got that much talent you take a risk on him even if he has a red flag with injury.

I'm not saying I'm on board with that but you need to calm down with the all we take is injured players no all teams do I remember back in the 90s or maybe early 2000s who was that dude was it from Miami I believe just completely shredded his leg and back then medicals And technology weren't as good and he still got drafted high.... If you're good they will draft you all teams all 32 teams will take a player with a red flag medical if he's that good that's worth the risk..

Who am I taking judkins in place of what other running backs because I'd rather have Henderson or Johnson because if they do pass on to running back in the 3rd you do realize that there's guys like Jayden Blue Giddings maybe even Martinez that you could get in the 5th i'm not saying I want that to happen but Henderson was my pick if he's there I don't see how you can pass it up and Adrian I take him over Judkins we need more speed on this team.. You know a creator Judkins maybe Ezekiel Elliott in which that's not a bad thing but I think we need a guy with a big hitter type mentality we got dudes that we can go blue collar with already on this roster or you can get late in the late rounds..

I never bailed hey but I remember my first summer when I was 19 and needed some work I end up getting hired as a helper like a grunt and I was in great shape, I mean I was an athlete in high school, I was always running the track team, football team, like at 19, i'm peak right.

So, I got on with a general contractor that built houses and you know I'm just carrying wood for people all day, but they were short people, and all they did for me at 5 foot 8 160 is tell me that they I can remove all the three quarter inch plywood the sub decking for the roof and hand it to the guy standing at the edge of the roof line..

I did that all day one day and I swear to God somebody was going to have to wheel me home in a wheelbarrow because I couldn't move so yeah hard work people don't understand that I never picked up a bail of hay but I can tell you picking up full sheets of 4 by 8 3 quarter inch decking and handing it up to somebody above your head all day long yeah I know how that feels...

Was rated the second best guard but yeah he was definitely debatable we may have got the best guard.. I don't think the pick is what people are upset about it's at number 12 and not moving down to get him usually don't pick a guard at number 12. but the rest of the draft free agency undrafted free agents i'm figure by Tuesday we'll have a bigger picture on what their plan was and hopefully people will calm down..

I didn’t like it at 12 but we don’t know if moving down was an option, or if the option was way down. I just think there were better options. I like the player but is he that much better than Hoffman/Bass compared to a WR better than our WR2 now. That’s my only real issue since don’t know if moving down a bit was an option. Would one of the WR have improved that position more than this kid improves guard?

Better watch it now using common sense in a conversation in here and get you in trouble lol... That statement makes too much sense and I agree there's still plenty of running backs and wide receivers in the draft and free agency and I also agree it is a little high but maybe they did all their research and talked it over to nauseam and this is who they picked..

I would hope he’s our second best guard lol but my think is, does he improve guard more than a WR could have improved our WR position? Iis he that much better than bass/ Hoffman than one of the WR’d would have been over what we have at WR2 now.

Other than the lack of punctuation and grammar other than that I have to agree with you I'm just trying to be pragmatic here I know there must be a bigger picture and I'm willing to see it play out....LOL

Yes I can criticize myself about my run on sentences cause I used talk to text but I'm trying to put out fires here I was pretty angry at the pic as well at first but now that I've slept on it thought about it watched some video trying to get a better understanding of why they did it i'm okay with it..
Yes, you've mastered the art of run-on sentences.

Two RB's of great value, impact players are both, Henderson -- a home run hitter and Judkins -- like Marion Barber with speed: get ready to run behind Booker the human bulldozer, part of the new interior wall of Caterpillar road graders.
Don't be shocked to see Henderson go to Clevland with one of their first 2 picks....Ohio boy, etc? We again snoozed.

So as much as this pic felt like a kick in the nads I understand why they did it but the rest of this draft and free agency and what they do with undrafted free agents and a trade here and there probably for a wide receiver are running back we'll know by Tuesday what they really had in mind but again the only thing that makes sense to me is they're going to go into these camps trying to figure out who the best 5 are and it may end up moving Tyler Smith back to left tackle because that's the only reason why would they sign Hoffman and then bring in Jones and then bring in another guard that I can't pronounce his name and then last year drafted Nate Thomas still have bass on this team if they were going to get offensive line in the first round I thought it would be a tackle..
The "expert" board isn't the same as teams boards. Just like nobody has the exact same board.

Teams have access to things, that can affect grades, that nobody else in the media has. They get private workouts, medicals and a bunch of other things that we the people, including media, don't have. All those things can change grades.

Golden went 23..... it's highly possible that Booker was BPA on their boards, or at least a few that were available and they broke the tie on character/position.

Why do you think players fall every year and nobody can understand why? Or how a player can get drafted so much higher then expected......
