The only logical thought that enters my head is perhaps Jerry is considering the "missed Zeke for 6 weeks" factor and wants to give them all another chance before blowing it all up (Garrett, Linehan, and Marinelli).

The real possibilty of losing his special team coach to the Raiders probably also figure into the desire for continuity.

I'm not saying any of it is right... Just speculating on that mind Jerry uses to guide his life...
