Moore has played pretty well with strong run support and yesterday Patmon when called up made some big plays!

rewatching the game Patmon came in on nickle package had a nice stop for a short gain that forced a punt.
on special teams it was him that upended Percy Harvin on the kickoff return and also he later saved the touchdown on Harvins 45 big return.

so great to see solid talent at corner right?

I see our Defensive Yards per play given up trending downward..........but again I'll say, the book is written on Seattle by San Diego and now Dallas, they will loose a few more this year and Wilson will be forced to complete passes from inside the pocket,

Our secondary is swarming in on everything. I couldn't wait to see how we would respond to Seattle's trick plays and our boys went out to lay hits on everyone who had the ball. Loved it!!!

I dont think Seattle will do well with that game plan. I agree with you that that is how they will have to play, I just dont think they are built very well for that strategy.

This....

Can't believe MO believed he deserved to start over Scandrick. He is clearly our best pure cover corner.

Amazing that Car got better with MO out, huh?

I think the issue with Mo is that he did not understand the playbook, which led to him being confused during the game, which led to others having to chip in and provide support on his side, which led to receivers being wide open. I have not seen that since Mo went down. Now, I am not saying that Moore is a better athlete than Mo, but I think Moore understands the playbook better, which means the other defenders do not have to worry about whether or not he will be where he is supposed to be. The rest of the secondary can focus on their own responsibilities instead of someone else's, which is why the secondary has seemingly improved in Mo's absence.

I think Seattle had three plays that were in any way worrisome. One was a nice kick return (Dan the Man Bailey slowed down Harvin though - DAN CAN DO NO WRONG), a nice run by Marshawn (thank you Hawks for not using your MOST DANGEROUS WEAPON LOLOL!) and the [legal] pick on Orlando Scandrick to start the game that netted a huge gain.

Other than that, they BLANKETED Seattle.

I thought the secondary played outstanding ball. They had 1 big pass play on us and I continue to think it should have been flagged as a pick play by the seahawks. After that big gainer seahawks did very little

I saw Patmon make the ST tackle but I didn't notice him playing on defense. I did notice that they used 3 Safeties a few times with Heath, Church and Wilcox. Also, Heath was in for Church on at least 1 play and Church was not injured because he came in for ST on the next play.

I thought the pick play was within 5 yards so not going to complain too terribly much about it. They tried to run the same thing on their last drive and Scandrick sniffed it out.

Without a doubt the secondary has been challenging more passes. Its a pleasure to not have to endure watching safe coverage so often where the WR catches an easy 11 yard pass and THEN we close in from three yards back to make the tackle.

True and that must have been the case since they did not throw the flag, Garrett question the refs and it is what it is. As you said after that the play it did not work again. Bubble screens did not work and option did not work. Cowboys were flying to the ball.

I don't want to discredit our own defense because I think they played fantastic. I have to agree with Doug Baldwin, though. If I'm seattle, I give serious thought to firing my OC after yesterday. Their misuse of Marshawn Lynch is a travesty (to our benefit). It was clear that we were not going to let the screens/sweeps/misdirections work. Why not put the ball into your workhorse's hands and try to grind a little, instead of putting Wilson into 3rd and 8 situations all game.

What I've been impressed with is Wilcox' ability to diagnose plays and make open field tackles on the sidelines the last two weeks.

I agree I felt they would run Lynch at us a lot more than they did. Unless it was due to injury related problem

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is probable for Week 6.
Lynch did not practice Wednesday, but was listed as a non-injury on the team's injury report. He was able to take part in full practice both Thursday and Friday. Lynch dealt with a back issue last Sunday, but was able to play through it. Wednesday is typically a day off for veterans on Seattle, so Lynch should be considered pretty close to healthy Sunday.

Yesterday I watched a cowboys game where a team did not commit to the run game, got scored on, and choked away the end of the game.

So a typical Cowboys game, but very pleasant that it was the other team.

True, I just wonder if Lynch was having problems. Like you I don't discredit the defense fact is outside of 1 run Lynch did not do anything, Dallas was getting a lot of hats on him.
