Reggie Davis, WR
Entering his third year in the NFL, Davis flashed this offseason. Cowboys wide receiver coach Sanjay Lal called him the most improved wideout on the team in June.
Jon’Vea Johnson, WR
DallasCowboys.com reports Johnson runs a blazing 4.38 40-yard dash.
Undrafted out of the University of Toledo, Jon’Vea was elected third-team All-Mid-American Conference following a senior season with the Rockets where he posted 32 receptions for 660 yards and nine touchdowns. Johnson averaged an impressive 20.6 yards per catch last season, and racked up a total of 24 touchdown catches over the past three years at Toledo.
Jalen Guyton, WR
Of the three deep threat candidates, it’s Guyton that has emerged as an early standout at training camp so far. Here’s what ESPN’s Todd Archer noted about Guyton in his Cowboys camp observations from Tuesday.
“Undrafted rookie receiver Jalen Guyton has at least three catches on deep balls in two padded practices. He still needs work on alignments and reads but he can go get the ball.”
The favorite receiver of Arizona Cardinal’s 2019 number one pick, quarterback Kyler Murray back in high school, Guyton found his way to the Cowboys via the University of North Texas.
