5. Adam Bisnowaty, OT — Pittsburgh
One option to help the Dallas Cowboys cope with the loss of Free would be drafting a player like Pittsburgh’s Adam Bisnowaty. The left tackle for the Panthers considered leaving after his junior season, but rumors were that he wasn’t happy with where he was considered to be drafted by the NFL advisory committee. While he started a fourth season for Pitt, there’s no guarantee that he raised his stock much—if at all

Vitals
Height: 6-6
Weight: 304 Pounds
Bench Reps: 23 Reps

What the Scouts Say:
He is called tough and scrappy by Bryan Perz of Draft Breakdown who says that the 304-pounder is a very well-rounded player:

Tough and scrappy are two words that properly describe Pittsburgh’s senior OT Adam Bisnowaty, but taken alone, they’re not the kind of traits worthy of first-round consideration. Fortunately for the 22-year-old, his skill set is more well-rounded.

Is He a Fit in Dallas?
The problem with Bisnowaty is his potential durability concerns. A back injury cost him four games as a redshirt freshman, and ankle injuries made him miss one game in each season that followed. With Green already on hand struggling with injuries, the team may look elsewhere. However, his problems have been fairly minimal and he could be had with a Day 2 pick so they can still focus on an edge rusher in the opening round. Bisnowaty was also a left tackle for his whole career, but that athleticism could serve Dallas well. Free himself was more of an athletic right tackle early in his career and they could have similar success here.

I have to give GOD 100% thanks because when FREE retired one of my prayers was answered. Now, Im hoping Cowboys get Adoree Jackson, Obi, DeMarcus Walker, and Donta Foreman someway some how. Might need to get Lamp being free gone

Dion Dawkins. Can play G or RT.

Makes it simple. Kills two birds with one stone.

If I am really dreaming things work out perfectly, Taylor Moton.

But alas, too small school.

I just can't see us drafting any type of OL......

Sorry, don't see it as a pressing need, as we have drafted OL quite regularly -along with who we signed UDFA

Just don't see it boys.....

I am thinking the same, hopefully Gathers can gain 30 lbs and learn at the fastest speed ever known.

Glad to see someone else throwing Rico's name in th conversation. It's not unthinkable his taken hundreds of O/line snaps.

No matter who they stick in there we're forced to go after another O/lineman.

I don't see it at that......we're basically in the same spot as last year

Smith Collins Fred Zac Chaz

Backups are the same...Looney, Cleary & Cooper

I wouldn't expect a OL pick until the 4th or later if at all-inclusive

I like that we are finally going to have another Right Tackle.

You're going to pass on a good young player that can solidify an important position for little $ because we've drafted too many of that position recently for your liking? Outrageously dumb draft strategy. If the coaches and scouts like a guy that can play RT and he's at the top of our board at 28 or 60 I can promise you that player will be selected.

We see how far our elite OL has taken last year & 2014.......once the playoffs roll, it's our pass D & lack of pass rush that has cost us. Those picks are need ready on D......

Sorry, don't see it.....adding to our OL or going D where it's needed

Be careful what you wish for with a player like Chaz Green being giftwrapped a starting job.

Only thing I worry about with Green is health. He's been pretty good when hes had to play in the regular season.

I just don't trust him to stay healthy and I think Dallas needs to go the draft route again.

I don't want to see Dallas go the bargain route though.. Keep the OL our biggest strength and get a legit guy in there.

certainly not disagreeing with your defensive pass needs.
I don't know what they have in mind at RT but I'd thinl at the least a viable RT in the lower rounds.

The thing is that Rodgers is going to light up most teams.

Where we screwed ourselves was the penalties against GB.

We do need to fix our pass defense but not many teams play good pass defense in the NFL.

Some of the best NFL defenses didn't even make the playoffs this past year.

Also.. Look at the teams with really good defenses. They either don't have a OL, QB, or both.

So I do think we need to improve the Defense but keep the focus on Points per game allowed and keeping our defense off the field improves that stat.
