Well, the clock and the score could have something to do with that. Dak was throwing downfield more last week when the Cowboys were down a few scores.

So, why spend $60M on a QB when the result is the same? Wouldn't it be better to rebuild the team from the inside out and roll with the cheaper QB option?

I mean it depends. You first have to determine if you are rebuilding or contending. They signed a high priced receiver and quarterback and have two rookies on the offensive line. They skipped the first step.
