Game Day Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons | Postgame Thread

The fact remains that he was Jerry's 1st pick.
Jimmy actually insisted on taking Steve Walsh in the Supplemental Draft that year.

Also, "JJ" could be either Jerry or Jimmy but I know who you meant...lol
History shows how Jerry is at GM. When he first bought the team he was a good owner and let Jimmy build the team. Jimmy brought the players in. If Jerry was in control over player personal the 90s Cowboys would have been a failure.

True the biggest problem is the Jones boys (who signed Dak), but Dak's contract and his declining play is going to be a major problem.
100%, because Jerry and Stephan are dumb, the team is now on the hook for a crazy expensive contract for a very degraded player. Not sure how you work that out, other than time and getting all that $ off the books.

Jimmy’s first pick was Aikman. He was in charge of personnel then.

My comment was based on a claim that Jerry had never drafted a QB in the 1st round. Regardless of who was "in charge" of picking, the fact remains that Troy Aikman was Jerry's 1st pick as owner of the team...Geez.
Also, if Landry had stayed, Aikman was still the pick.
Landry met with Aikman pre-draft. He was the consensus 1st overall rated player.

Cowboys have a lot of issues and Daks salary ain’t at the top of it. Your owner told you that Derrick Henry and Zeke are the same player lol. Not in 2016….he said it in 2024.
We have a lot of issues but ZEKE?

Zeke ain't even on the team ANY MORE. How about you try ripping up your bum Dak? OW><<<<MY FINGER!!!!!

1/4 billion dollars later.

Have any of the Haters apologized to Cousins for saying Dak was better than him for all these years?

I mean he's older & coming off a significant injury & he's still way better than One Vote.

This doesn't change that your initial claim was incorrect.
Aikman was going to be the 1st pick no matter who owned or coached the team.
You even acknowledge Jerry was GM. Guess who is credited for drafting players.... The GM.
If Minnesota doesn't accept the Walker trade, the 90s may have been a failure.
