Simply put , the cowboys have mediocre OL and DL . Jerry is so mediocre and wants to appease the assistants and talent evaluators by comitteee , while making sure the team is competitive to sell tickets . As a result you don’t get any cohesive OL /DL balance to win big . As a result , thr run game is weak and the defense cannot stop the run. 9-8 or 8-9 seasons or the old 8-8 ratio prevails .

People like to pinpoint the loss on 1 side of the ball, this loss is literally on every single player on this roster and the coaches. The only player that has been a positive is Aubrey. The offense was terrible, so many costly penalties and 2 turnovers. The head coach kicking that fg at the end of the first half was horrendous as has been his play calling all night. Dak wasn’t very good, the o-line stunk. Pickens has been atrocious. The defense got zero pressure on a Qb who’s literally been absolutely abused the last 2 games. The secondary can’t cover anyone and the secondary which was supposed to be the lions secondary was awful. The special teams couldn’t make a play and was penalized often
