the level of regression is stunning to witness. Hiring Schotty was not the missing piece to put us over the top. I still cannot believe that I actually thought Jerry had outsmarted the rest of the NFL. Jerry is a MASTER....and I do mean a MASTER of selling hope. If he does not fire Schotty before the end of the year...he will live out his final years in misery. Because this outfit is drawing dead.

Bellichek was making 20 mil a year , and thats why they didnt even talk to him.
I read that rex ryan wanted to come fix the defense , but he wanted more than Jerry was willing to pay, not sure what the amount was.
This may also be why other coaches have passed on the cowboys.

JERRY wants them to work cheap and have little control, and he can talk all he wants about whatever he wants.
Jerry has billions, but evidently is such a tightwad he is just reluctant to spend a few million of it to have a top HC,

Jerry wants to be informed of the gameplan so he can sound informed and in control when talking to the media. He has a sickness and his act wore thin decades ago. I cannot even tell you how tired I am of him and his family. Stephen would have to announce IMMEDiATLEY once he is in charge...that football operation would be run by that has not EVER been associated with the organization...unless it is Roger, Emmit, Troy etc...for me to beliece that we have future. And even then...I would not want those guys running the football operations. Why? Because they have never done it and it's no longer the 90s. We should have a search commitee that has been spending the last few years identifying the right person to run football operations as soon as it is no longer Jerry.

This Dallas Cowboys team is a conundrum. If one looks at the game statistics, one would think it was a close game; but sure didn’t seem that way watching it; the Packers took it to the Cowboys; but a sloppy game played by both sides given the number of penalties.
Whomever coined the term “GOTI” should be ashamed; this offense, led by Dak, was ineffective tonight; he was under pressure all night and seemed confused by the Packers’ scheme; throwing lots of short and intermediate routes generating lots it YAC, but no scoring. I thought Dak might have played hurt given he took some big shots. If it wasn’t for those questionable roughing calls on the last drive I don’t think the Cowboys scored.
I thought Dallas’ run defense was stout; but then again, GB really has no running game; but the Cowboys secondary had a difficult time covering the Packers’ WRs…who dropped several balls, taking at least one touchdown off the board, but Love could have easily thrown for over 300 yards.
The playcalling for Dallas was conservative at best; I thought GB was aggressive in their passing game and stretched the field; I didn’t see Dallas doing that with their passing game…Shotty has to go, but whom do you get to take his place?
Luckily no other team in the NFC East is playing well; so Dallas, despite being 2-4, is still competitive…which is kind of scary to think about.
I’m waiting to hear some gem from Jerry about how the team fought hard to the end and he is proud of them; and he still has faith in them winning the division and advancing to the playoffs.
