I'm not necessarily defending him but how is that his fault? Three guys basically right there where the ball is and nobody makes a play?

It isn't all his fault. That's one of the few things that there's no problem agreeing with Jerry on. There are aspects of it that are his fault.

I think a good example was on a pass on that last drive. A receiver motions into the slot, runs a short route, turns for an easy catch and then races straight upfield for the first down. Wilson has the receiver off the line of scrimmage, but based on the coverage design, he has outside zone responsibilities and bails. Two other defenders have coverage behind the receiver in the bend-but-don't-break system to rally for the tackle, but the receiver just turns and races between them before they can make the tackle after the first down.

The scheme worked like it was supposed to. It conceded the short pass and then relied on the defenders to outathlete the receiver to make the stop. They couldn't.

Aubrey has struggled down the road but percentage wise you shouldn’t be trotting your kicker out there 55+ like it’s guaranteed anyways. They honestly should go for anything even close to midfield at this point. Who the hell cares about 3 points in this situation. Evaluate your offense
