Game Day Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants | Postgame

I'm starting to wonder how many consecutive plays it might take for CP to adjust.

Based on tonight, that number probably isn't much different than the number of plays it takes the opposing offense to score. That might be the limiting factor for him. He adjusts once the other team scores.

Lost this game on the 4th and inches first drive punt and the stupid mistake by Dak at end of the first half.
Harbaugh and his staff put our coaches in a clown suit. The Giants gave Harbaugh the keys to the organization. He brought in his coaches and players. That is how you support your coach. Jerry will never give up that type of power.
Jerry got lucky with Jimmy.
Jerry is a genius Businessman/Marketer.
Jerry is a Low Tier GM.
I doubt his son is any better.
It's a Curse.

At least I'm old enough to have enjoyed Landry and Jimmy.
The 70's were the headiest time to be a Cowboys fan.
And the 90's were great.

I give the offense a C. They had a couple of bad possessions, but they didn't have enough possessions because the defense couldn't get off the field.
My grade of the offense is influenced by the idiotic playcalling & other decision-making:

1. The failure to take control of the game from the outset by tapping-out on the 4th & 1 in completely defensible circumstances favoring the bold.

2. The "cute" plays on the 2-yard line, instead of pounding it in.

3. The two uncharacteristic drops by Pickens.

4. The undisciplined play of a #1 RB who should know better.

5. Dak's inexplicable INT late in the first-half.

6. The general lack of urgency to get the ball up the field - especially in the fourth quarter.

That said, there is no arguing at this point that the defense is every bit as bad as last year's historically-bad campaign.

And, now, Aubrey apparently has the yips.

This team was totally unprepared to play tonight. As many on this board had warned as the team adopted a "let's just not get anybody hurt in preseason" attitude. Well, apparently, they could've used the work.

there we go. Josh Allen ... he of the 2 AFC Championships, an 8-7 playoff record and undefeated against Dallas.......that is to whom you are comparing that stiff Dak Prescott

The Giants ran the ball down their throats. Wasn't some mis direction or disguised offense. They ran it at will and set up play action to a tight end Dallas had no answer for either.

It was as basic a beat down as it gets. When you can't stop the run everything else spirals downward as well. The defense, specifically the defensive tackles, got mauled.

Period.

I see lots of you downplaying this Giant offense and it’s fascinating to witness. Dart was accurate, getting quickly through his reads and their running game is nasty. They did exactly what a good offense is supposed to do, and with ease.
Of course a team is gonna look good if they beat us. The problem is, those teams and/or players usually don’t look nearly as good against anyone else.

It takes a couple extremely awful seasons to get top picks to make this happen. Last time we were legit good was with Zeke and that come after a 4 win season. Is what it is. Cant get better with being mediocre.
Giants surpassed Dallas in 1 off season by getting a valid head coach and by bolstering their weaknesses.

Dallas blew smoke up our azz and signed aging stars without properly addressing their greatest defensive needs.

CB abysmal, LB soft, Pass Rush non existent.

Coaching…we all saw that on display tonight.

Team was not prepared, no fire and poor execution at all 3 phases.

Long term view, the defense will ultimately sink this team again, with offense being up and down as per usual.

I think they will be lucky to win 7-8 games this season, what a waste!

i
Parkers D sucked. But what was Schotty's gameplan?

NYG seemed organized, start to finish. Prepared. Here is how we will win this game. Everyone do your part.

What was our plan? Did we have one? I expect the head coach with such a clear talent advantage on offense to play his cards.. but he never did. We played scared all night long. Vs the Giants.

Schotty deserves a lot of criticism for how we prepared for and approached this game.
i dont think there's a player on the roster that is scared of schotty. He will still hug them and tell them they are loved.

A loss, especially to a division rival, really doesn't bother this team from top to bottom...as long as they get the stats..
