This should be the game used to decide whether McCarthy stays (not because we're losing badly and I don't want McCarthy to stay). This was backup QB vs. backup QB. Yes, we have other missing players besides our QB, but it should have been expected by the Joneses for us to at least play the division leader close. A blowout like this should tell the Joneses we're not close to where we need to be.

It's easy for the front office to get excited about the fight we had against mediocre teams, and even a possibly playoff team in Tampa, but this should bring them back to earth.

But beyond McCarthy, this team needs an overhaul. Even when everyone's healthy, they're not good enough to make a run through the playoffs. This team is not one or two players away.

So just dump the coach, and trade players, and draft well, and find some free agents. This team as constructed is just not good enough.
