I think its more that tackles as a stat are completely useless. If you are playing in the middle and play every down you will have a lot of them. If your DLine is bad and always letting them get to the 2nd level you will have even more.

I’m assuming you are only talking about today through 1 quarter of football because our defense has been garbage all year, near the very bottom in stopping the run.

I mean I will say they also looked decent for the first half against the Eagles but the offense right now just cant get a yard and they are getting gassed.
