No we need an owner that allows a HC to control the team and the coach can articulate the achievements of his coordinators skills. Jerry erodes team continuity and disrupts the authority of the HC.
You think Jerry secretly write the article lol

Regardless of how things play out for the Dallas Cowboys this season, Quinn and Moore will be hot names in the NFL

As such, assistants are almost autonomous in their ability to survive and they are not tethered to the sinking ship that is the head coach. Speaking of which, McCarthy is basically the RMS Lusitania here in Dallas. He may have time on his contract but the torpedoes are in the water and he’s going down. A new head coach in 2022 isn’t just possible – it’s expected.

But for reasons explained above, his assistants aren’t necessarily destined for the same fate. In fact, both his top assistants will be on the national radar for head coach vacancies in 2023 even if the Cowboys fail to improve...
Love Quinn
And appreciate Jerry paying to keep him.

I don't know. Only a handful of coaches in NFL history ultimately had a bright future.

That is to say, this league averages about 6 new HC's every season. the statistics on HC's says that 288 of them coached between 1970 and 2021.

How many of them left on their own volition? Probably a couple dozen. That would be close to 10%.

Therefore, an NFL coordinator that aspires to being a HC has a 90% chance of being fired.

That doesn't seem like a bright future to me. That's a really tough job. The whole world finds out that you were fired because you couldn't get the job done. Even if you did for a few years you still get fired for not continuing to do the job with acceptable frequency.

There is a hit to your finances, reputation, ego, and even your family. Your wife and children are not exempt from idiotic over-the-top fans. We all know they exist.

Disappointment should never be turned into anger directed at those coaches who tried to do everything they could to make the team's fans happy. Head Coaches are obsessed with winning. Every loss hurts and when they come in bunches it becomes a nightmare.

When it comes to HC's, I think we should all refrain from personal attacks, name calling, and even hoping for their failure. I think it's two faced and shows just how insincere fans can be when a team is winning versus losing. Obviously I'm not talking about all fans.but there is a sizable group that acts as though they are entitled to have their team win championships and unsuccessful HC's are guilty of sabotage.

The lissue is Jerry continous need to be seen as the emperor is how a HC loses authority. When Jerry reminds everyone McCarthy won't be coaching Dallas forever and Quinn could coach Dallas it undermines McCarthy. Players know it and when issues arise they know JJ will be the final say, so McCarthy words are empty. It's exactly why Jimmy Johnson did not allow Jerry into the lockeroom. He undersood the dynamics of control and optics of Jerry and his ego. It's exactly why Dallas will not have a Superbowl with Jerry alive.
That is the role of authority and responsibility is never delegated in smart organizations.

You're living in a vacuum, there's no evidence, that Mike's words or demands of the team are empty. Mike's the head coach and nothing has happened to show that he doesn't have control of the team. Jimmy had an ego just as big as Jerry and that's why they clashed and eventually he left.
