2:59 pm "He is a relentless rusher. He is going to keep coming at you all the time. There are times where I think he jumps the count but he has good technique almost like (Dallas') Jay Ratliff." - Cowboys coach Wade Phillips on Vikings DE Jared Allen.

2:55 pm Cowboys RB Tashard Choice did not suffer another concussion, which was first feared when he came out of the game against the Eagles. Choice went through a test on the sideline with the team doctors and he passed. Choice felt better today and should be ready for practice on Wednesday.

2:51 pm Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said he was going to rest RB Marion Barber on Wednesday to try and help his injured knee. Barber took himself out of the Eagles game on Saturday because he felt like he couldn't get the job done. Barber is dealing with a bruised knee.

2:09 pm Cowboys NT Jay Ratliff on playing QB Brett Favre and the Vikings: "(Brett) Favre's a great quarterback and he can definitely beat you with his arm, but they also have other weapons with Adrian Peterson. Their offensive line is a big physical line, so we need to be ready to step up to face that."

2:08 pm "They are very complete as a team, Offensively as a team, they can do it all. Defensively they have probably the widest talented team you're going to find in the NFL. They present a great challenge." - Cowboys QB Tony Romo on the Minnesota Vikings.

2:01 pm Cowboys DE Igor Olshansky said the key to stopping Vikings RB Adrian Peterson and this rushing attack would be to not allow the Vikings offensive linemen to get to the second level their on blocks. The Cowboys have yet to allow a 100-yard rusher this season. ]]

2:00 pm Cowboys RB Tashard Choice last week missed some practice time because of a concussion. Choice appeared to have some problems against the Eagles, which put him on the bench toward the end of the game. Choice said he is doing well and is excited for the opportunity to play against the Vikings.

1:54 pm "They have great wide receivers. You can compare Percy Harvin to DeSean Jackson (Eagles). You have to try and be as physical as possible with these guys to slow them down." - Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins on the matchup with the Vikings wide receivers.

1:52 pm Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins on the noise the Vikings fans can generate in the Metrodome: "There will be a lot of energy. It's very simliar to what we faced in New Orleans. Once we get going, we don't talk very much anyways so we should be okay."

Vikes have a more explosive WR corps IMO (Harvin, Rice, Berrian, Shiancoe, etc.), more effective than the Eags WR corps b/c Minny has the very real threat of their running game.

They've also got a more accurate QB. We won't get the benefit of the drops we got the last two weeks.

I don't know about all that. Philly's WR corps was pretty good we just did a great job of making them look bad. Jackson, Maclin, Avant, and Celek all had pretty good years. All of them averaged at lease 12 yards a catch and all had at least 500 yards receiving with Avant 13 yards shy of 600. It's close but I would still take the Eagles just because of those numbers and the speed of their receivers.

Jenkins does most of the talking to the press now, nice to see him back it up on the field. This guy is fast becoming the leader of the secondary.

Maybe, but definitely less mobile. We get heat on him and he's going to change back to Bad Brett.

The Vikings WRs esp Rice and Harvin are better than anything Philly has and that includes Jackson who I think highly of.

SD and NO are the only teams we've played in their league regarding WRs.

The game will hinge on how well Favre does looking at our side of the equation. And how he does will likely depend more on pressure than on our DBs.

I'd like to think that. I think it depends whether or not we can get up on the Vikes. I'll tell you, I don't want to be up against Brett Favre with the ball in his hands and the game on the line. I don't care how well our defense has been playing lately.

aren't their receivers bigger too? If so, it doesn't seem like getting physical with them will be as effective as against a guy like Desean

Rice maybe, Harvin definitely not. As a whole I aould still take the Eagles WR corps. Like I said, people have a low opinion of them now because we made them look bad for two weeks. Before the last game of the reg. season I doubt you would have said this. Rice may have the edge because of his height and he runs better routes. Harvin is a poor man's Jackson.
