One of the biggest problems with the Dallas Cowboys in 2012 was the offensive line. Before the season started, the Cowboys released their veteran linemen and started young players and rookies. As a result, Tony Romo ended up with broken ribs and ran for his life most of the season.

The line in 2012 will be completely different again, and this time Dallas hopes the changes were for the better. In 2011, the biggest losses were with the release of Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo, and while that helped free up money for the Cowboys this season, part of that money had to go to replace those same two players.

The only players in 2011 that started the entire season was rookie Tyron Smith and Phil Costa. While the offensive line was disappointing, there were bright spots. Tony Romo had the best statistical year of his career with a 102.5 rating and DeMarco Murray broke the single-season rushing record. However, for the most part, they were inconsistent at best.
